A simple and cozy (yes it's small!) retreat to recharge and escape the hub bub of everyday life. Dock use includes swimming area, kayaks, canoe and dock furniture. No dock space available for guest boats. Local country store & post office available. 1 hr from Albany. 45 mins from Saratoga, 15 mins from Lake George Village. Hiking & biking trails nearby. Small lakeside cottage, (shared on the property with the host's main residence) is located on Ripley's Point on the eastern side of the Cleverdale peninsula, waterfront of Kattskill Bay of Lake George. The Adirondack mountains are the back drop of the view as you look out over the lake in the mornings. Go for an early swim or morning row as the sun peaks up over the mountains. Bike down the lane to the local grocery store or local restaurant. The cottage is simple, cozy with two single beds in the bedroom, a futon couch that offers a double bed in the living room. Kitchen offers gas range and oven, toaster oven, refridge, coffee and tea pots as well as a Keurig machine. Bathroom has a "RV" size shower , sink and toilet. Wifi is also available. It is set up as a get away, relax and enjoy life as the way it should be. Available to guests: Lakeside cottage, (Please note that as we do not offer electronic devices, such as flat screen tv, computers, tablets, cable hook. ) Wifi is available. Swimming area which includes canoe and kayaks only and plenty of space with dock furniture to sit out and relax, and enjoy the sunrise or evening stars. Dock space for guests boats is not available. Chris lives in the main house and will be available in the evenings and on weekends if needed. Jen lives in Maine and is available through Airbnb messaging. Cleverdale is a small peninsula that reaches out into the eastern side of Lake George, a 32 miles lake nestled in the Adirondack Mountains. Many of the residents are year round with the majority of folks summer visitors. It's a small community, complete with local restaurant to gather with your neighbors and friends, lakeside chapel for those to worship on Sunday mornings (non-denominational) and the marina, store and post office for simple needs. It's a safe, friendly and enjoyable place to visit. Best to have your own form of transportation. We do not provide it and there is no public transportation available. Fun places to visit that are not that far away.... Saratoga - museums, race track, SPAC only 45 minutes away. Lake Placid - great town to visit with shops and local attractions, only 1.5 hr drive. Albany - 1 hour away. Rutland, VT - 1 hour away
