Description
The Lodge offers comfortable accommodation for ten people in a spectacular setting on the shores of Loch Seaforth, looking down this beautiful glen, all the way to the Isle of Skye. The space Originally built in the 18th Century, Aline Lodge was thoughtfully renovated and modernised in 2009/10. The modernisation maintained the Lodge’s traditional Highland features giving it a cosy feel, protected from the wilds of the Hebridean weather. The accommodation provides three double rooms and two twin bedrooms. The sunroom enjoys fabulous views to the south, while the billiards room and nearby sauna complex (with table tennis) offer great entertainment in the evening. The Lodge is offered on a self-catered basis although there is a cook’s room available if required. Other things to note The wildlife is plentiful with golden eagles, peregrines, merlins, sea eagles, divers, seals, otters, dolphins and whales all to be spotted, sometimes from the Lodge, sometimes from the shoreline. The beaches of Lewis and Harris are nearby and ideal for a Sunday picnic. The Estate also hosts a range of sporting activities including stalking, fishing, shooting for Woodcock, Snipe and duck. If guests do have an interest in arranging a sporting excursion then please do contact us directly and we can arrange accordingly with the Estate Gamekeeper.
