The space Casa de Arena is a privately owned beachfront home set directly on Sunset Beach in Sisal, Yucatán—designed for those who value space, privacy and a quieter, more refined coastal experience. With over 510 m² (5,500 ft²) of open living space across two levels, the home blends modern Mexican design with comfort and functionality. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors open completely, creating a seamless connection between indoor living areas, the terrace, pool and ocean beyond. Unlike many rentals, Casa de Arena offers four true master suites—each with a king bed, hammock, private ensuite, AC, ceiling fan, terrace access and unobstructed ocean views—allowing every guest to enjoy both comfort and privacy without compromise. THE EXPERIENCE Sisal is one of Yucatán’s most peaceful and untouched coastal towns. There are no crowds, no resorts, and very little nightlife. Days unfold naturally: - Morning coffee with ocean air - Walks along a wide, white sand beach - Time between the pool and the Gulf - Evenings with uninterrupted sunsets The beach is quiet and expansive—you will often have it almost entirely to yourself, aside from passing fishing boats and local wildlife, including flamingos and migratory birds. Mérida is just under an hour away for restaurants, culture and city life. The HOME MAIN FLOOR The main floor is fully accessible and designed for open, relaxed living. High ceilings and expansive sliding doors span the terrace-facing wall, allowing the space to open completely to the outdoors. The living and dining areas feature custom furnishings, including a large handcrafted marble dining table ideal for shared meals and evenings of sobremesa. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes: - Gas stove and electric oven - Two full-sized refrigerators - Large island for cooking and gathering A pantry area includes washer/dryer, beach essentials and additional storage. Also on the main floor is the Yucatán Suite, a fully accessible master suite with a king bed, AC, ceiling fan, hammock, terrace access and a spacious ensuite with double sinks and oversized shower. POOL & TERRACE The pool faces directly toward the Gulf of MEXICO, offering open, panoramic views. The terrace includes both covered and open areas with: - Outdoor dining for up to 10 - Lounge seating and hammocks - Space for sunbathing or relaxing in the shade From the terrace, stairs lead to an outdoor shower and path to the beach—just 60 steps away. UPPER FLOOR The upper level includes three additional master suites, each with a king bed, AC, ceiling fan, hammock, private ensuite, terrace access and unobstructed ocean views. The Azul Suite also includes a daybed (2 single beds). All upper suites connect to a large terrace spanning the width of the home—ideal for yoga, reading, or quiet time. Guests are welcomed to relax and enjoy the space fully, while naturally treating it with care and respect. Guest access Guests have full private access to the home, including all indoor and outdoor living areas, pool, terraces and direct beach access. The property is not shared with other guests. Other things to note Casa de Arena is located in a quiet, beach area of Sisal and is best suited for guests who appreciate a calm and private environment. Sisal is a peaceful coastal town with limited nightlife and early restaurant hours—this is part of its charm and appeal. A car is recommended to access nearby towns, restaurants and day trips. The road from town to the house can be very rough in sections; please drive with care. Maximum occupancy is strictly observed to maintain the comfort and quality of the home. Violation will result in a charge of $5,000. Due to severe allergies, animals are not permitted. Guests with service-related needs are asked to contact us prior to booking.
