The house was architecturally designed in 1928 in the Art Deco style. It is equipped with modern comfort and decorated with family antiques. In recent years we have worked to restore the original architectural features. The aim is to update this family home whilst retaining its warm feeling of home. You will find a guide insite the house with ample information about the house and surroundings. The house can comfortably welcome up to 4 guests, it is ideal and fully equipped for longer stays and can accomodate business travellers, couples, friends and families. The house is equipped with central heating throughout, cast iron radiators will guarantee a comfortable and cozy space. Upstairs, a king size bedroom decorated with Laura Ashley Summer Palace wallpaper and Louis XV furniture looks onto the cite. It adjacent dressing room offers plenty of storage to allow for a long stay The second bedroom facing the garden is decorated with Louis XVI furniture and Laura Ashley fabrics. It includes a double bed and a large wardrobe. As you arrive, the house opens onto a small front garden followed by an entrance hall with enough storage for coats and shoes. The lounge room is elevated and facing the street with a 3 seater sofa, a chaise lounge and a 2 armchairs, smart tv with 160 channels and Netflix and high speed internet (fibre to premisses). The dining room has a table for 6, a buffet and a desk with a comfortable chair. Essential should you wish to work from home. The brand new kitchen, in the centre of the home, has all the necessities including oven, cooktop, utensils, fridge / freezer, microwave, etc. Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster and NutriBullet are also available. The kitchen has a meals area which sits 4 overlooking the garden and patio where you will see a beautiful magnolia The newly renovated bathroom has a large shower and large vanity, hair dryer and weighing scales. We provide Avril toiletries. Avril is a brand of Bio cosmetics which is manufactured locally in Hauts de France. Adjacent is a laundry with AEG washer and dryer. A clothe line outside and a foldable cloth rack are also available. Guest access There is free parking outside the house. There is also parking available in adjacent streets and on Match supermarket carpark at the end of the street. The house is on a one way street which is a small enclave off the main road which makes is really quiet. There is also bus access at the end of the road which can take you to Valenciennes and to the belgium border. By car the house is located right next to the Brussels - Paris Motorway Other things to note Breakfast essentials are provided for the first night. We will leave you a fresh baguette, eggs, butter, jam, coffee and tea. You will also fins pasta, rice, oil and vinegar,... The cleaning fee included in the listing only covers the departure clean. Should you choose to book for more than 1 month a monthly cleaning fee will be charged separately.
