Super cute & cozy cottage in the heart of the quaint village of Oriental - nestled on the Pamlico Sound. Visit our in-home, working studio & sign up for a private art experience! Enjoy a beautiful water view of Camp Creek from your guest room. Walk to the village & visit the local coffee shop, dine in one of our charming restaurants, listen to live music at the brewery, sit in an Adirondack chair along the water at Loumac Park, or sip on a beverage at the Tiki Bar & watch the boats come in. The space Nestled at the end of Church Street in the Village of Oriental, The Artists Cottage on the Creek awaits you! Enter the house at your leisure, using your personal code on the key pad. Walk down the hall to the first door on the left and enter your private guest room with the same code. Your room features a queen sized bed with memory foam topper and thick, fluffy mattress pad. Amenities include: *carafe with fresh water & drinking glasses *TV with streaming apps *Sound machine *Wifi speaker *Ceiling fan, and two additional fans *USB ports for phone charging *Iron and ironing board *Luggage rack *Dirty clothes basket *Books *Extra blankets *Space for hanging clothes *Empty drawer space *Air purifier *View of Camp Creek *Lock on door for added privacy * NC Made Candles & other natural products available for purchase *Art by Susan & Charlie, available for purchase Attached is your private bathroom, featuring a garden tub & shower. For your convenience, the bathroom closet is stocked with plenty of toiletries and extra supplies. Directly across the hall is your private den, (with lockable door) where you will find ample seating, a large screen TV with streaming apps, a Himalayan dome salt lamp for your feet, books & games to use during your stay, extra blankets, and a coffee/tea station with snacks. Afternoon/evening happy hour is available by request. We offer one bottle of red or white wine, or two light beers per guests. You may enjoy these beverages inside or out. Our Outdoor Spaces: The front porch is adorned with antique wicker furniture facing the meadow across the street and rockers that face the water. The side patio features two zero gravity lounge chairs, a firepit and a large umbrella that provides ample shade. The back patio has two spaces to sit and enjoy a meal or beverage under the shade of the large oak and pine trees. You are also welcome to use our outdoor shower! Feel free to relax in the living room of our home. Just know that we may join you :) Inquire about visiting our working art studio, located on site. We have art & other items available for purchase and you may also book your own private art experience with Charlie and Susan! Guest access Guests have exclusive access to their private room, bathroom and den. The living room and outdoor areas are there for your use as well, but we may be around from time to time. Guests are not allowed use of the kitchen for cooking, but may access the following: - space in the refrigerator - ice in the freezer - water from the water jug - use of microwave - use of washer & dryer may be arranged for a small fee During your stay Your room, bathroom and den areas are yours and yours alone! We may or may not be on the property when you arrive and throughout your visit. When we are there, we are happy to share our living room space and you may see us outdoors as well. We are happy to visit with you as much as you like, but we are also happy to give you your space and do our own thing. Other things to note *Our home & your space are thoroughly cleaned before and after each visit with mostly natural cleaning products. *Please note that we keep the house very cool at night. However, we provide ample extra blankets if you are cold-natured. *We have a dog on the premises. Harper, our dog, stays in our studio and will not be out in the house, though you may see her with us outside. She is friendly once we have introduced you to her. *Our studio is private, unless arrangements are made for a tour or art experience
