Each suite has a private entrance and patio for dining al fresco on the beautiful grounds. Old Man Mountain Studio is named after the amazing view of the mountain. The building is nestled among large boulders and pines, and was designed by our father, who studied under Frank Lloyd Wright. Walk to town, 3 miles to RMNP, views! Old Man Mountain studio is perfect for a couple looking for a mountain getaway with easy access to RMNP and the village. It is a one bedroom, one bathroom studio unit with vaulted ceilings, large patio windows, it sits high on a rock bluff, and It feels like a tree house! The bedroom area has a vaulted ceiling, a comfortable memory-foam queen bed, and a cow-hide rug. There is a pocket door that leads to a vanity sink area, with a large black-granite counter. Next to the vanity is the small completely-tiled bathroom with a walk-in shower. The living room area has a new leather sofa and chair, a coffee table, flat screen TV with premium-cable channels (plus 10 Showtime) , fast reliable wi-fi (upgraded fiber-optic), local artwork, and sliding patio doors that lead to the deck with views of Old Man Mountain. From the covered deck with flower boxes, there are steps down to a flagstone patio with a gas grill, water feature, and picnic table with an umbrella. This is a great area to view passing wildlife, BBQ, star gaze, and relax. The studio dining area has a dimmable antler chandelier over the black granite island with seating.
