Earthen home in Bahía de Los Ángeles

Hi, I am Mauro! Mauro's Posada is an eco-friendly sandbags building with its own solar power and composting toilet system. The posada is my sustainable project in Bahia de los Angeles, and is continuously in progress with different alternative structures. The projects include a green house with chickens, clay walls for pottery area, corral for milk goats, grey water garden and soon biogas. The posada has amazing views from the top of a hill just at the entrance of the town. The space The two rooms with six beds available are simple and comfortable. We do not have any air conditioning so in summer it can be extremely hot, since we are in the desert. Electricity is solar-powered and conserved at night. We suggest that you bring a flashlight. The spacious bathroom is outside with sink, hot shower and composting toilet. The unpaved road is a quarter of a mile uphill, but no 4 wheel drive needed. WIFI is available through satellite connection. Shared kitchen and living room is spacious. Other things to note The electrical inverter is turned off late at night to conserve power so there is not 24 hours of electricity.
