Please read our description before booking! Basement apartment close to I-15. Gas oven and range, full fridge, and breakfast provided. Close to Hill Air Force Base! You can enjoy a nice, quiet evening at the fireplace, grill in the backyard, or check out the wonders around (Hill Aerospace Museum, Antelope Island, Great Salt Lake, etc.). We are upgrading and updating the house as we can, and the bathroom is small and dated. The laundry room is in the basement, but separate from this apartment. The entrance is on the side of the house, up a few stairs. There is a door to the left as you enter, this is to our flat. You will descend down stairs for this flat (the stairs are a bit narrow, but I personally use the handrail for support). We have been told the stairs may be a challenge for older knees/those with some mobility problems. At the bottom of the stairs, there is an opening on the right to the laundry room, this is shared with us. There are detergents/some bleach, and dryer sheets and dryer balls in the cabinet above the washer and dryer. The queen mattress pad is in the laundry room, if you need it. There are also extra sheets and blankets in the laundry room in the cedar chest. The pac-n-play is also in here. There is a door at the base of the stairs as well, this is to the apartment. It runs a bit cooler than the upstairs, and they are on the same thermostat, but we have a few heaters that can be used if needed. The fireplace pilot light is lit from October - March. The kitchen has plates, bowls, tea cups, a few other cups, some spoons, knives, forks, and a few cooking utensils. There are some spices as well in the kitchen, and a few random food items that can be used. It has a full fridge and freezer, gas oven and range, and a bar (no table). There is not a dishwasher, but dish soap (it's a bar with a brush) and a dish drying rack are provided. The front room has a couple of couches and the fireplace, and is directly across from the kitchen/bar. The bedroom is to the right as you enter the apartment. It has a bit of a cabin-y vibe, with mostly wooden panel walls. The bed is a Queen size, and extra sheets are located in the bottom left drawer of the dresser. There are some hangers in the closet, and shelves as well. The bathroom is also to the right as you enter the apartment. The bathroom is small, but has a toilet, sink, shower, and some shelves. We just repainted the bathroom, and hope to make a few more renovations in the future, as it is quite dated. There is not a fan, so in order to let out the moisture, the small window must be opened. We do live right above the apartment, so there may be some noise as we go about our day. Please let us know if it is bothering you, our "quiet hours" for upstairs are between 9-7, so things should be much quieter then (this is usually when our child is in bed). There are two picnic tables on the back patio-an adult and a kids picnic table. The grill is a charcoal grill, and is also located on the back patio. There is a closet in the front room (the door blocked by the small dresser) that holds decorations and camping stuff, and we ask that this be left alone. Everything else in the apartment is there for you. Please let us know if you have any questions about access. We live above the basement, feel free to let us know if you need anything! If anything is bothering you, please let us know! We aim to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Small streets lined with brick houses, this neighborhood has been around for a while! There are a couple parks nearby that are ready for picnics! We try to be environmentally conscious, so some of our products are “green.” We provide shampoo and conditioner bars, and the laundry detergent is TruEarth sheets or powder. We have trash and recycling (in Clearfield we recycle plastic, cardboard, paper, metal). If you have glass, we can take it with our glass recycling (we drive it to a glass recycling bin). Utah is in a drought, so our lawn is not very pretty right now. We do have a “lawn” though. Half of the garage is the gym, the other half is my husband’s film studio. As mentioned in the description, there is one thermostat for the whole house. We have a few heaters in the apartment that can be used to help warm it up, please let us know if the temperature gets too hot or too cold (we are above the apartment, and so our flat gets much warmer than the apartment). We have a narrow, long driveway. We *usually* are parked 5PM-6:45 (depending on what’s going on in our day). You can park a car here, as demonstrated in the photo (we have the orange Kia). We ask that you don’t block our car overnight, in case of emergencies. For longer term stays/winter months, we do try to work out parking in the very back of the driveway so we are both able to come and go as necessary (we only have one car, and this works well if you only have one car). In the winter, Clearfield does not allow street parking from November 15-February 28/29 from midnight-5AM.
