Beautiful 5-Acre Oasis in the Hudson Valley

Welcome to our guest house! We invite you to enjoy our lush, peaceful, 5-acres of land in beautiful Croton-on-Hudson. Drive up the long, picturesque driveway to reveal our two houses (yours and mine) which are fairly far apart, providing you with plenty of privacy in your standalone house. We love when guests explore our entire property and make themselves at home by using our outdoor hammocks, tree swings, fire pit, many chairs, and even a zip line for kids (all shared only with us). The space This one bedroom house has a comfortable queen bed with two types of pillows (memory foam and regular pillows). The living room has a TV with Netflix, Hulu, YouTube Premium, Amazon Prime Video, fast internet, and a dining table with 4 chairs. There is also a futon in the living room that turns into a single sleeping space (which is surprisingly comfortable once our memory foam mattress is placed on top of it). Just 3 minutes from the Cortlandt station and 7 minutes from the Croton-Harmon train station, this private house is only a 48 minute ride on the Metro-North train from Grand Central Station in NYC, yet it is the ultimate escape from the city. Nestled in the woods, the house is exceptionally charming and peaceful. Croton has long been beloved by naturalists, and the area has incredible hiking trails, quaint coffee shops, restaurants, and more. Don’t forget to visit the stunning Croton Dam nearby! Guest access Although nobody else will be living on the ground floor of our guest house, our Airbnb guests only have access to the 2nd floor of the house (the first floor is used only by me as a storage space which I rarely access). Other things to note There are 2 window air conditioner units (one in the bedroom and one in the living room). You have to walk up an outdoor staircase to access the house. Nobody lives on the bottom floor of the house, so you will be the only ones living in the whole house, but you only have access to the top floor. The pool is open during the summer months. The only other people who have access to the pool are me and my family. There is a glass coffee table in the living room that could potentially be dangerous for small children. You are welcome to bring small children to the house, but please make sure they are careful around it and do not hurt themselves. If this worries you, you should not book our home. If you use the pool or fire pit, you must confirm that you are solely responsible for any injury or damages that might occur. All children under the age of 16 must always be with an adult in the pool at all times. There is no lifeguard, so you swim at your own risk. You must never go into the pool when it is raining, thundering, or lightning. We are so looking forward to sharing our lovely home in this beautiful property with you!
