La Grange • Bayeux on foot • Pool table & flea market vibe The space Just 3 minutes from the historic center of Bayeux, in a fully renovated former farmhouse, we welcome you to La Grange, an unusual and welcoming place where old-world charm meets the comfort of a vacation home. Completely restored, La Grange has retained all the character of the original building: nearly 8 meters high under the ceiling, old beams and spectacular proportions. We have decorated it almost exclusively with furniture and objects specially sourced for it, in a deliberate vintage style. A real little cabinet of curiosities for lovers of flea markets, decor and places that have a soul! THE HOUSE On the ground floor, you will enjoy a large, open and convivial living room, organized around several areas: • a large open kitchen, fitted and equipped, with a range cooker, double refrigerator, dishwasher and large central island; • A central area with a pool table, for enjoying a drink or a game with family or friends; • a living area with TV and reading corner. On this level, you will also find a bathroom with shower and sink, a toilet, and a laundry room. THE BEDROOMS On the first floor: • A first bedroom with a lovely view overlooking the living room; • a bathroom with shower and sink and a separate toilet; • a second bedroom with its own bathroom with shower and sink. On the second floor: • A large air-conditioned "dormitory" bedroom with two double beds and a TV area. OUTDOOR SPACES The house has a large private terrace overlooking the farmhouse courtyard, with a dining table and deckchairs. You also benefit from free private parking for two cars in the courtyard, as well as an electric vehicle charging station (charging at an additional cost). BAYEUX ON FOOT One of the pleasures of La Grange is also being able to leave the car on site. From the farm, a path for pedestrians only takes you to the cathedral and the historic center of Bayeux in about 20 minutes on foot. The path runs along the Aure River and crosses a pleasant protected wooded area: a nice way to walk to town from the house. Bayeux train station is also just a few hundred yards away. TO ENJOY YOUR STAY EVEN MORE We can also offer you the following, by reservation and at extra cost: * Breakfasts, prepared and delivered directly to La Grange; * Appetizer or dinner platters, prepared mainly with local products, for your evening of arrival or for a quiet evening at home; * Starting in April 2027, a private chauffeur service for your transfers (train station, airport, restaurants, etc.) or your days exploring the region: the D-Day beaches, Mont Saint-Michel, Saint-Malo, Honfleur, Deauville, etc. Please don't hesitate to contact us to find out about the various options available.
