Description
Elegantly designed to reflect the charm of its surroundings, The Lodge offers a characterful retreat in the heart of Morton on the Hill, just a short drive from Norwich. Beautifully updated for modern living, the home retains a calm, settled feel that suits its rural setting. Soft textures, unique tones and carefully chosen furnishings create a welcoming space to slow down and relax, whether enjoyed as a countryside escape around the fire with loved ones or a romantic retreat. The space Victorian Gothic Home built in 1860 Step into this beautifully restored period lodge, where elegant archways and bay windows fill the living and dining rooms with natural light. Enhanced by statement chandeliers and bespoke furniture, thoughtfully chosen to reflect the property’s heritage. The dining room features a charming log burner, while the separate sitting room offers a traditional open fire, perfect for relaxing beside the gentle crackle of the flames. The ground floor also includes a well-equipped kitchen, a laundry area and a modern shower room. Upstairs, two stylish bedrooms provide comfortable accommodation, with a super-king bed in the principal bedroom and a king-size bed in the second. The property enjoys open field views, benefits from a private driveway, and features secondary-glazed windows to enhance comfort while preserving its historic character. As this is a character property, we recommend making use of the open fire and log burner to keep the house cosy. Electric heating is set for your stay, and during colder months portable heaters are provided for additional warmth and comfort, which can be adjusted as needed. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome, however they must be supervised at all times, as the grounds are not enclosed and the property is located close to a road. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the entire house, with the exception of two locked storerooms. Access to the property is via a shared driveway, which must be kept clear at all times. Once you pass through the brick pillars, you will have your own private grassed area and shingle driveway. The outdoor space is for guests’ use and includes a garden table, chairs, parasol and a large outdoor fire pit, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surrounding views.
