Two king rooms in rural retreat. Peaceful & cosy.
Description
Perfect for two couples, or for a family group, enjoy two luxurious king double rooms (one of which can also be configured as a twin room) in our cosy, charming and historic home. Set in the heart of Norfolk's Waveney Valley, your rooms overlook an avenue of oak trees and grazing marshes leading down to the river. Downstairs, you have two lovely sitting rooms with garden and orchard views, a library and a piano. And you'll enjoy our famous and very popular Danegelts Breakfast each morning. The space As well as your two bedrooms, you and your group have exclusive access to the heart of this historic, luxurious countryside home. The house is never shared with any other guests: it's just for you and your group. Your own private front door entrance leads through to the sitting room, the library with over 500 books and a piano, and the breakfast / dining room, all just for you, designed to make your stay comfy, cosy, relaxed and easy. Guest access You and your group will have private access to: - Front door and entrance hall - Sitting room - Library - Dining room / breakfast room - The Waveney Room (King bedroom 1) - The Meadow Room (King bedroom 2, which can also be configured as a twin room with two large single beds) - Private "jack-and-jill" bathroom with WC, washbasin and shower All of this is just for you: it's never shared with any other guests. During your stay We will be there when you arrive to welcome you, show you around and give you your key. After that, you're free to come and go as you please. If you need anything during your stay, please do call us (you'll have our mobile numbers) or message us via the Airbnb app. We live just next-door, so can usually be on the spot in a minute or two if there's anything we can help with. And of course we'll see you each morning to serve you our famous Danegelts Breakfast. Other things to note Please note that Danegelts is a Grade-II listed historic house, dating back to the 16th Century. As such, not everything is built to 21st Century specifications! There are some low ceilings and doorways, sometimes a step up or down between rooms, and the staircases are a bit steeper and narrower than you'd find in a modern house. Bearing this in mind: if you are thinking of visiting with young children, or if you have any mobility restrictions, please do feel free to message us before you book, so we can advise, and you can decide whether the property is right for you.
