This stylish two bedroom apartment forms the entire top floor of a Town House plus adjacent spacious double bedroom in the village of East Calder which has excellent amenities nearby, for instance the health centre, dentist and pharmacy within a two minute walk, with a post office, Co-Op, Tesco and numerous other businesses very close by. Transport into Edinburgh is well served by the X27 and X40 buses 2 minutes walk from the front door and also the X28 a 5 minute walk further down Main Street. The space The apartment consists of a living room with kitchen fitted with all the essentials including a washing machine. As well as a dining table and three chairs there is also a three seater sofabed which comfortably fits one when converted.! The bedroom has a double bed with plenty of space to store and hang clothes. There is a bright shower room and all rooms are served by central heating and hot water from the combi boiler. There is ample storage facilities in a cupboard accessed from the hallway. The second double bedroom is accessed on the middle floor of the house with a lockable door. Make sure you read the info about the dog! Guest access Access to the apartment is through a rear porch and up one flight of stairs to reach the spacious double bedroom and two flights of stairs to the self contained apartment where a lockable front door is reached at the top. The keys will be presented by the host. Other things to note There is no private parking attached to the apartment, but there is on-street parking available although the Main Street can get quite congested at times. By arrangement, the host (who occupies the ground and first floor of the property) is prepared to move his car to allow the guest to have access to a secluded shared courtyard to the rear of the building, just at the entrance to the rear porch. The bus company Ember are now running a service (E19) from the terminal building at Edinburgh airport to my street in the village, a few minutes walk along the road.
