The Bread Oven 2-Bedroom Cottage

The Bread Oven owes its name to the stone bread oven that stood there when the building was used as a farmhouse. The spirit of the old walls has been preserved during the renovation. Today, it is a two-bedroom gîte for four people—ideal for a family with two children or two couples. Inside, you'll find a welcoming living room with satellite TV, a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, stovetop, microwave, washing machine, and complete set of crockery and cutlery), two bedrooms, and a bathroom. The first bedroom has a double bed (140 cm), and the second has two single beds (90 cm). Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Outside, your private garden with garden furniture and barbecue — very convenient for outdoor meals on summer evenings. Le Four à Pain is part of the the property manager, our former family estate now a holiday resort. No more than 9 families stay at a time in a walled, car-free park of 13,000 m². Amenities include a shared heated swimming pool open 24/7 from May 1st to October 1st, a wooden fort, a sandbox, swings, badminton, a football pitch, and a pétanque court for children. Pets are welcome (supplement of €15 per stay). Practical information: bakery 800m away, butcher 1.4km away, restaurants in the village a 5-minute walk. Beaches 10 minutes by car, bridge to Île d'Oléron 8km away, Royan 24km away, La Rochelle 55km away. We will personally welcome you upon arrival and remain available throughout your stay.
