Garbage pickup is in the large ROUND black bin in the alley EVERY THURSDAY. Recycling includes everything BUT plastic bags, styrofoam and glass EVERY OTHER Thursday from the smaller blue bins in the alley. Glass can be taken to the recycling center or left for me to pick up and recycle. Plastic bags can be bundled and taken to recycle at Home Depot or Albertson's grocery store. Sprinklers will run either late at night or early in the morning during summer months. You will find the sidewalk shoveled in expectation of your arrival, and a shovel will be available for you to use if needed throughout your stay. You'll have easy back door access to the home when you park right in front of the garage. The side gate will take you to the screened porch and up to the back door. If there is a separate reservation for the UPSTAIRS level, then the laundry room and back door with access to the screened porch, patio and backyard might be SHARED. Enjoy the lovely view of the fenced back yard and birdfeeders from the table or futon on the screened back porch or patio furniture, perfect spots for your morning coffee. This is a quiet residential neighborhood. Folks park in their driveways, or on the street directly in front of their property. Please be courteous and mindful of the neighbors by parking in front of the garage in the alley without blocking the alley or directly in front of the cottage (or if you have reserved access to the whole house). This cozy Craftsman bungalow is located in the quiet and historic Residence Hill neighborhood just a few blocks and a short walk from downtown Sheridan. It has the quiet low traffic pace of a cul-de-sac -- mostly only residents drive through the 4 block long neighborhood. Key features include: Kitchenette: Bright space with bold geometric tiled backsplash, butcher block countertops, microwave, and an air fryer/toaster oven. Den: Comfortable area bathed in natural light from three large casement windows, featuring a dedicated workspace and an HDTV with Roku for entertainment. Bedroom: Flexible sleeping arrangements with one large bed and one twin bed. Children's Amenities: Crib, high chair, children's books, and toys available for younger guests. Crib, highchair and step stool are stored in the bathroom and bedroom closets. Decor: Enhanced by mid-century style furniture and a variety of interesting textiles and art pieces, creating a truly unique atmosphere. You have your own Internet network and password for the lower level listed on the chalkboard on the desk. You are also welcome to use the upstairs network which will show up as Spectrum-70; hotelquaint765 is the password. The induction cooktop must have a pot or pan on the surface to heat. It will not preheat without this step. The kitchen faucet is MOTION ACTIVATED. Please notice the sign describing its operation next to the faucet. A previous guest may have moved the sign to the shelf above the sink. Turn the lever to the right, then wave to the lower left of the faucet. Smart TV relies on your streaming subscriptions, but limited Live TV is available through the Spectrum App and other free apps found on the TV main screen. There is a fireplace heater located in the den area, as well as a plug-in heater in the bedroom, and a flat panel heater with on/off switch on the lower left side under the cup rack in the kitchenette. This will get hot to the touch, so please be aware of your children and pets, and probably don't use if you have toddlers. The forced air is controlled by the thermostat upstairs, but wall vents can be closed to reduce heat flow.
