Family-Ready: We are happy to provide a toddler sleeping cot, a travel crib, an infant-sized bathtub, and a variety of toys and books for our youngest guests upon request. Guests will have private and exclusive access to the entire house, including both bedrooms, the bathroom, kitchen, and living areas. You will also have full access to the private, fenced backyard with its patio, gas fire pit, and charcoal grill. The front yard is also yours to enjoy. Please note: The single-car garage is used by the host for storage and is not accessible to guests. In the unlikely event that I need to access the garage during your stay, I will provide advance notice and coordinate with you to ensure your privacy and comfort are respected. Burkitt Street is busy during morning and evening rush hours, but we are so close to downtown Main Street shopping and eateries, Third Thursday Street Festival and every Thursday Farmer’s Market that walking or biking is an easy and fun option. I can connect you to bike loans from The Hub. It’s an easy walk or bike ride to our extensive Sheridan Pathways system which connects all the city parks from one end of town to the other. The premier city park, Kendrick Park and Whitney Commons area, Kendrick Park ice cream stand and pool, wildlife viewing area, the library, YMCA, the vista and trails around the Trail End Historic Site at Kendrick Mansion, are all an easy short distance from the cottage’s central location. Your privacy and comfort are our top priorities. We live nearby and are available to answer any questions or provide recommendations via the app, but we will give you complete privacy to enjoy your stay. We will not be present at the property unless requested or in the rare case of a pre-arranged need to access our storage. The home also features an indoor fireplace for cozy evenings, and room-darkening shades in bedrooms ensure a restful sleep. We provide a collection of books, games, and toys for all ages, along with complimentary locally roasted coffee, a variety of teas, popcorn, hot chocolate, and instant oatmeal.
