The Airstream beside the ADU has air conditioning that is currently out of order. The main ADU air conditioning is still available. The entire compound is yours - no shared spaces, no surprises. 🔑 Self check-in with lockbox - arrive on your schedule 🧺 In-unit washer & dryer 📶 High-speed Wi-Fi throughout 🚗 Park on the left-hand side of the cabin in front of the log, or on the other side of the ADU/cabin between the Airstreams. Do not block driveway access. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is already set up. If anything comes up, we're a quick message away. We're available by message anytime and respond as quickly as we can. We're local to Portland and happy to help with anything - from restaurant recommendations to a quick answer at midnight when you can't find something. We keep a hands-off approach unless you need us, and when you do, we're right there. Other things to note • Yard is not fenced — please supervise children and pets • No parties allowed — max of 14 guests at a time and 4 vehicles on the property • This is a multi-structure rental: you’ll have the entire property to yourselves • This property is family-owned and loved—please treat it with care and respect **Due to a Dec 2025 storm, part of the roof line, front porch and railing have sustained damage. While there are zero safety issues present both inside or out, the visible damage is noticeable. 🐾 Pet-Friendly Space . ⏰ Quiet Hours 10 PM - 7 AM (building + city ordinance) 🚭 No Smoking or Vaping Smoking and vaping are not allowed anywhere on the property, indoors or outdoors. The Welches community in Oregon is located between the Sandy and Salmon Rivers, making it a recreational paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. The area offers a wide range of activities including skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, and golfing. One of the popular bike routes is the Old Salmon River Trail, a scenic course for all levels of riders. Hikers can also enjoy a moderate workout on the trail. In the summer, the trail is a popular spot for swimming in the river. Golfers can enjoy a challenging round at the Resort at the Mountain, which features three nine-hole courses: Pine Cone, Foxglove, and Thistle. While not a walkable urban setting, the peaceful surroundings and outdoor recreation more than make up for it. 🚗 Driving — A car is recommended for getting around. The area is well connected via US-26. Free parking at the property. 🏔️ Recreation — Close to Mt. Hood skiing: Skibowl is about 10 minutes away, Government Camp about 15, and Timberline about 25, with Trillium Lake a short drive. Hiking trails and the Sandy River are minutes away. The charming town of Sandy is a short drive for groceries, dining, and supplies. ✈️ Airport — PDX is approximately 60–75 minutes by car via US-26 West.
