Beech Mountain Resort opens the West Bowl during busy times when extra space is needed to accommodate increased numbers of visitors, and when there is adequate snow to allow the run to be open. You can check the opened/closed status of the run at Beech Mountain Resort’s website. The primary ski runs are still within close walking distance from home (less than 200 yards away). -> TRANSPORT: If you want to stay and play on the slopes during winter (November-April) you'll need to come prepared to handle heavy snow.
