The Lodge at Mountaineer Square is the centerpiece of the Crested Butte Mountain Resort base area — ski-in/out, one minute to the resort and a three-minute walk to the lift, surrounded by base-area shops and restaurants. Historic downtown Crested Butte and Elk Avenue — known for art galleries, breweries, and dining — are 6 minutes away by car or the complimentary shuttle. The area is a four-season destination: skiing and snowboarding in winter, and hiking, mountain biking, and rafting in summer, with major trailheads about 6 minutes from the door. Gunnison–Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) is about a 40-minute drive. You're ski-in/out at the base, so you can leave the car parked all weekend — covered garage parking is available in the building ($30/night for one space, paid on-site, with EV charging in the garage). A free shuttle runs to downtown Crested Butte, and the lift is a 3-minute walk.
