Our home is nestled in a quiet, peaceful residential area of Birmingham, offering a relaxing place to unwind while keeping you conveniently connected to everything you may need during your stay. Our primary focus is on safety. External areas of the property are monitored by Ring cameras equipped with audio, strategically positioned to cover the driveway, front foyer, garden, and backyard/patio. These cameras operate continuously, prioritizing security while respecting privacy within interior spaces. No Smoking: To keep the home fresh and comfortable for all guests, smoking of any kind including cigarettes, vaping and cannabis is not allowed inside the property. Any smoking incident indoors will result in a $500 cleaning and remediation fee. No Pets: We truly love animals, but unfortunately pets are not allowed in the home. If a pet is brought onto the property, a $500 violation fee will be charged, plus an additional $500 pet cleaning fee. Visitors are allowed but must be disclosed in advance. We have a strict no-party policy. Undisclosed guests or visitors will result in a $500 fee per person. Private Spaces: Please do not open or attempt to unlock any of the owner’s closets. They are locked because they contain personal items. Please do not remove the waterproof mattress protector. A $250 fee will be charged for professional cleaning if the mattress is soiled with bodily fluids, and a $500 fee will be charged if the mattress is permanently damaged and requires replacement. Locking Doors: Please ensure all doors are locked, and double-check that both the back security door and the kitchen door are securely locked. Complimentary parking is available for up to two vehicles in the driveway, with additional free street parking available nearby. For guests who prefer not to drive around Birmingham, Uber and Lyft services are readily accessible. Public transit is also available nearby. Packages and Mail: Please be aware that we are not responsible for any packages or mail delivered to the property. Quiet Hours: Please be respectful of our neighbors. Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 6 AM. Guests will have private access to the entire home and backyard throughout their stay. This includes both bedrooms, two full bathrooms, the living room, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, washer and dryer, and outdoor space with seating, BBQ grill, and fire pit. Enjoy the convenience of self-check-in with a smart lock, allowing you to arrive and settle in at your convenience. Guests also have access to free private driveway parking for up to two vehicles. Please note: Effective May 1, 2026, the garage will no longer be accessible to guests. A vehicle is recommended for getting around, although Uber and Lyft are readily available throughout the area. Grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, pharmacies, gas stations, and everyday essentials are just a short drive away. TRASH GUIDELINES If your stay includes a Wednesday morning, please take out the trash for collection. To do so, please: • Collect all trash from inside the house. • Place the trash in the large trash bin located on the back patio. • Roll the large trash bin to the front yard. • Place the bin on the edge of the driveway for collection. • Once the trash has been collected, please return the trash bin to the back patio. HOUSEKEEPING GUIDELINES FOR BEDDING • If you are potty training a child, please place extra towels under them while they sleep. • While all beds are equipped with waterproof mattress protectors, an additional barrier is required to prevent damage. • If a guest adult soils the bedding, please promptly remove and wash the linens using the washing and dryer. Do not remove the waterproof mattress protector. Instead, clean it thoroughly using the Clorox wipes located under the bathroom sink. OWNER’S CLOSET • Do not open or try to unlock any of the owner’s closet doors. They are locked and marked for a reason, as they contain personal items. Thank you for understanding and respecting this space. INTERNET & SMART DEVICES EQUIPMENT NOTICE • Do not unplug any devices in the master bedroom closet. Unplugging the router or modem will disable the smart TV's, smart locks, and Wi-Fi. Contact us immediately if you experience any connectivity issues. REFRIGERATOR USE • Please keep all food and beverages properly covered or sealed to prevent spills and odors. • Clean up any spills promptly using the cleaning supplies provided in the kitchen. • Before checkout, please remove all personal food, beverages, and other items from the refrigerator and freezer. If you experience any issues with the refrigerator or freezer, please contact us rather than attempting to repair or unplug the appliance. MICROWAVE USAGE If you use the microwave, please cover your food with the microwave splatter cover to help prevent splattering. • The splatter cover is stored inside the microwave. Just pull down the magnetic cover and place it over your food. • If food or liquid spills, we kindly ask that you clean the microwave using the dish detergent and sponge provided at the kitchen sink. STOVETOP | OVEN USAGE • If food or liquid spills, we kindly ask that you clean the stovetop/oven using the dish detergent and sponge provided at the kitchen sink. • Please clean it thoroughly after each use to maintain cleanliness and prevent damage to the electric burners. • If you use the countertops for additional space while cooking, please use the cork pot protectors located underneath the knife set to protect the countertops from high temperatures. BBQ GRILL AND FIRE PIT USE Guests are welcome to use the Charcoal BBQ grill or Fire Pit. Please note: • The BBQ grill and fire pit MUST be used in the backyard grass area and NOT on the back patio or porch. • Keep all fire equipment at least 10 feet away from the house or patio structure. • BBQ charcoal briquettes and lighter fluid are not provided and must be purchased by guest. • For safety, do not place or use the grill or fire pit on or near the patio. • Fire extinguishers are available on the wall near the refrigerator and on the second shelf inside the white emergency cabinet in the laundry room.
