Step into a soulful hideaway in this restored 1860s country church—nestled in the heart of the unique Driftless Region of southwest Wisconsin. Just minutes from the Dubuque Millwork District & River Museum, historic Galena, Potosi Brewery and the University of Wisconsin Platteville, this once holy haven offers peaceful country views and timeless charm. A serene retreat where kindred spirits, dreamers and wanderers can rest their boots and stay awhile—close to the excitement, yet a world away. The space Open our double doors to a welcoming open, vaulted foyer, which is home to our authentic bell tower, complete with a pull rope to ring our original 1868 brass bell. Our Master Bedroom boasts vaulted ceilings, a stunning crystal chandelier, beautiful arched window and a super comfy king size bed. It's easy to get out of bed in the morning when your feet are greeted by a plush sheepskin! 2 queen size beds are offered in our loft which is accessible by a fun circular staircase and gives you a second story view of the whole sanctuary! Vaulted ceilings are also shown off in our bathroom, which features an original claw foot tub and a relaxing rain shower. Meals large & small are a breeze in our fully furnished kitchen! Pancake fixings are always available for breakfast, coffee is ready to brew and most anything you would need for baking, cooking or grilling is available for your use. A stackable Washer & Dryer unit is located in the basement. Hosting a retreat or family gathering? There is plenty of floor space for air mattresses, cots or sleeping bags. Lots of cozy spaces thruout for reading, board games, cards, art, puzzles, music, etc. There are a few different outdoor seating spaces to watch the sunrises & enjoy small town country life. An outdoor fire ring is provided to share campfire stories, laughs, a drink, a cigar, a guitar led sing-along or a yummy s'more. Bean bag/corn hole boards are available for guest use. Guest access Full house & yard. Other things to note The rope to the 1868 brass bell 🔔 hangs in the foyer and is ready for you to pull! Everyone loves hearing it ring!
