This escape is ideal for vacationing couples, groups of friends, work retreats, and outdoor adventurers. Welcome to this charmingly rustic and somewhat quirky home located just outside of town. The design and furnishings are in rustic style, but you won't be lacking modern comforts and amenities. Let's explore the enticing features of this property... Relax in the great room with a high, vaulted ceiling and abundant natural light. The large windows provide a view of the adjacent mountain ridge. You can also step out on the balcony for a closer look. While you're in the great room, you may want to build a fire in the double-sided wood-burning fireplace. The other side of the fireplace warms the dining area and kitchen. The large wooden dining table easily seats 6. And the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal or just enjoy a beverage. Off the dining/kitchen area is a large outdoor screen porch with its own wood-burning fireplace. It's furnished with comfy lounge furniture and a hammock. The master bedroom on the main floor has its own walk-out balcony that's perfect for relaxing. The ensuite master bath has a shower, a soaking tub, and a walk-in closet. There is a unique half-bath on the main floor right off the entry foyer. Upstairs is a large sitting room with a smart TV and games. The balcony up here overlooks the great room and fireplace and shares the wooded mountain view visible from below. There are two more bedrooms upstairs. These bedrooms share a bathroom between them with an antique clawfoot tub/shower combo. Outside there's a large front porch with rocking chairs to pass some time - southern style. In the yard, you'll find a fire pit that's perfect for those long evenings with friends and family. Reserve now to "Live Like a Local" in this unique space! You will have private access to the entire house and yard except for the unfinished basement area. We are available for questions or services between 8:00 am - 8:00 pm. Gated mini-community on a mountainside. Very peaceful and secure but less than 5 minutes to downtown Asheville. This is a private residence. Please act as though you are a guest in someone’s home. :) Also, please acknowledge the following: NO PARTIES OR EVENTS. If this rule is not followed, you will be immediately removed from the property without refunds or compensation. QUIET HOURS 10:00 PM - 9:00 AM. If any noise complaints are reported, you can expect a warning communication. If a second noise violation/complaint occurs, your reservation may be terminated. MINIMUM BOOKING AGE IS 25. If you are under 25, do not make a reservation without contacting us for pre-approval. Failure to do so may result in termination of your reservation. LOCAL RESIDENTS REQUIRE APPROVAL. If you live within 30 miles of the property, you must contact us for pre-approval. Otherwise, we reserve the right to terminate reservations made by local residents. GUEST TOTAL MUST MATCH BOOKING. The correct number of guests must be on the reservation - This includes all guests entering the property at any point during the stay. NO SMOKING OR DRUG USE. If smoking or drug use is detected inside the property after your check-out, we will request additional money for cleaning and/or file a claim against you for damages. NO PETS ALLOWED. If any pets/animals are discovered at the property, you will be asked to remove the animal. If the pet/animal remains or damages are detected after your check-out (including but not limited to excrement, animal hair/fur, animal smell, chew/claw marks, etc.) we will request additional money for cleaning and repairs and/or file a claim against you for damages. GUESTS ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY. By placing a reservation, you agree that all guests expressly assume the risk of harm or adverse events that may arise during the use of this property. Guests understand that they may purchase travel insurance to protect themselves in such situations. This insurance is not automatically provided or implied with your reservation. The property owners or managers are not liable for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur. CHECK OUT ON TIME. Our cleaners are on a tight schedule and need to work in preparation for our next guests. If you require an earlier check-in or a later check-out, please request it in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you. Otherwise, we reserve the right to charge a $50 late check-out fee. Any guest who is still on the property after 2:00 pm on check-out day will be automatically charged for an extra night. Please help us understand your intent to follow these House Rules by stating, "I've read the House Rules" when making a booking inquiry or completing your reservation.
