Charming mother-in-law cottage in the historic Whiteaker neighborhood. Nestled in a lovely private flower garden, the Cottage provides a serene retreat and is centrally located within one block of the best restaurants, breweries and wineries of Eugene. The space Nestled in a lush and colorful garden, the cottage provides a private and quiet retreat. Tall ceilings and windows in every room fill this 500 sq foot charming cottage with light and a sense of spaciousness. Bedroom The bedroom features a mahogany queen size sleigh bed with a pillow top mattress, luxurious sheets and down comforter. The view from the bedroom looks out onto the flower garden and private fenced yard. There is a sitting chair, closet with hangers and drawers. Living Area The living area has a cozy sofa chair for two with an ottoman/bench. In the seating area, there is a digital screen TV with Netflix for streaming your favorite shows or movies. There is also a HDMI cord one can use to stream media from an iPad or laptop. Relax and unwind in this quaint setting that includes a writer's desk and a fully-stocked kitchen. Kitchen Everything you need to create a gourmet meal can be found in the kitchen. Kitchen amenities include; stove with oven, mid-size fridge, blender, toaster, cuisinart cookware, baking dishes, convection oven-toaster, coffee maker, drip-cone, and tea pot. Garden settings and nooks surround the Cottage, providing a tranquil and beautiful outdoor space to enjoy. There is a Craftsman home on the property, and there is complete privacy between the home and cottage. If you are looking to host family or friends for a special event or holiday, both the house and cottage may be rented together. Together, the house and cottage are comfortable for up to 6 people. Guest access The house and cottage are located behind a tall fence with mature trees and vegetation, creating a sense of privacy from an active neighborhood. The cottage is located behind the main house. Walking around the right of the main house, you'll arrive at the cottage. Information for accessing the Cottage is provided to guests the week of their arrival. Check in is 4-9pm. Check out is 11am. An early check in or late check out MUST be arranged with host prior to arrival. We are more then happy to accommodate such requests when it is possible to do so. Guest have access to the back side garden, main back garden and BBQ. The main back garden and BBQ are shared by guests in the main house. You are welcome to reserve the BBQ for a particular day, however, it is usually not necessary. Other things to note The Whiteaker neighborhood is best for folks who have a tolerance for human diversity, and do not mind occasional interactions with transients. The neighborhood is safe, but a touch more exhilarating than typical surburbia. Be sure to securely close front gate when entering and exiting property. There is a train that travels through town and can be heard from most of town. Most enjoy a good-night's rest in the cottage, and quiet during the day. Essential toiletries can be found in the bathroom cabinet. Iron and ironing board in the bedroom closet.
