Sleeping & Living The comfortable double bed is dressed in fresh linen, with soft textures and colourful touches bringing a little warmth and personality to the room. There’s a TV for relaxed evenings in, while the clever open layout keeps everything comfortably within reach without feeling cluttered. Workspace A dedicated desk and chair gives you your own spot to open the laptop, catch up on emails or plan the next day. It makes the studio particularly practical if you’re mixing a little work with your time away. In-Room Refreshment Area A handy in-room setup gives you the essentials for starting the morning or putting together a simple snack. You’ll have a fridge, kettle and toaster, along with crockery, glasses and useful basics — ideal for keeping drinks chilled, making your morning cuppa or enjoying a light breakfast. Please note that there are no cooking facilities or microwave within the studio. Laundry Facilities For a little extra convenience, a shared washing machine is available within the building’s main kitchen area — particularly useful for longer stays or when you’d rather pack light. The main kitchen is not available for cooking or general guest use; access to this area is for the shared laundry facilities only. Around the Area When it’s time to head out, you’ll have plenty to choose from. Westcliff seafront promenade, Chalkwell Beach and the Cliffs Pavilion are around 5–10 minutes away, while Southend Pier and Adventure Island are around 10–15 minutes. For a slower day, head towards Leigh-on-Sea Old Town, or explore the green spaces and history around Priory Park and Prittlewell Priory. Whether you’re here for the coast, a show, work or a few days exploring, the studio gives you a comfortable little base to come back to. You’ll have full private access to your own studio throughout your stay, including the sleeping and living area, workspace, private bathroom and in-room refreshment facilities. You’ll also be able to use the shared washing machine, located within the building’s main kitchen area. Access to this area is for laundry use only. We like to follow our guests’ lead. Head towards the coast for Westcliff Beach and promenade, catch a show at the Cliffs Pavilion, or venture into Southend for the famous pier, Adventure Island and seafront attractions. For something a little slower, Chalkwell Beach, Priory Park and Leigh-on-Sea offer plenty of options for walks, green space, cafés and time by the water. Getting around is straightforward, with local bus stops just a short walk away connecting you with Southend, Westcliff and the surrounding areas. Prittlewell Station is one of the closest rail options, with Southend Victoria, Westcliff and Southend Central providing additional connections depending on where you’re heading. By car or taxi, Westcliff seafront and the Cliffs Pavilion are around 5–10 minutes away, with Southend Pier and Adventure Island around 10–15 minutes depending on traffic. Leigh-on-Sea is also within easy reach for an afternoon exploring the Old Town and waterfront. Southend itself is easy to explore once you arrive, with regular buses and a long seafront route connecting its beaches and attractions. A shared washing machine is available for guests and is located within the building’s main kitchen area. Guests can access this area when using the laundry facilities; however, the communal kitchen is not intended for general cooking.
