Air Force Base: Catch occasional glimpses of jets flying by from the nearby Air Force base. Transportation: While train stations aren't within walking distance, Layton City offers a free shuttle service – check schedules on the city page. Parking & Winter Tips: Garage & Street Parking: Guests can park one car in the garage, two in front, and additional parking on the street. Winter Parking Rule: Note the city's winter rule; no street parking between 1 am and 6 am from December to February. Snow Management: While we don't provide snow removal, find shovels and ice melts in the garage for your convenience. House Rules & Helpful Info Guest Headcount & Fair Pricing To ensure accurate preparation and fair pricing, we charge a small per-person fee. Exterior cameras are in place for safety and to help confirm guest count. Please provide an accurate total for overnight guests and daytime visitors so we can plan accordingly and maintain a great experience for everyone. Pet Policy Up to 2 dogs are allowed with a fee: $50 for 1 dog $100 for 2 dogs Fees are collected post-booking during our digital check-in process. Please note: Pet damages are not covered by the pet fee. Smoking & Substance Policy This is a smoke-free home: No smoking or vaping No recreational drug use Violations may result in loss of deposit and additional cleaning fees. Neighborhood Quiet Hours City regulations require quiet hours beginning at 10:00 PM. Please be mindful of noise levels outdoors and in common areas during this time to ensure a peaceful environment for our neighbors. Contactless Check-In & Host Access We offer a seamless arrival with our smart lock system. If you need anything during your stay, we’re just a message or text away. Digital Guestbook & Add-Ons We provide a digital guestbook with essential details about your stay, house information, local recommendations, and checkout instructions. You can also request early check-in or late check-out (subject to availability and a small fee) through the guestbook. Security Deposit & Damage Waiver Some booking channels require a fully refundable $250 security deposit. If applicable, you’ll receive instructions after booking. The deposit is returned promptly after checkout, provided there is no damage or policy violation. You may also choose to purchase a damage waiver and/or deposit for additional peace of mind. Guests are required to digitally agree and sign house rules and rental agreement which will be emailed once booking is received. The home is located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. You will hear the jets flying from time to time as it is close to the Air Force base. There are two train stations that are in the area but not within walking distance.
