Cozy cottage with stunning views of Lake Siljan

Welcome to tranquil Västanvik in the heart of Dalarna and this charming cottage, just 5 km from central Leksand. Here, you're greeted by a stunning view of Lake Siljan. On the enclosed porch, enjoy dinners from early spring to late fall, thanks to infrared heating. Inside, the fireplace is prepared for you to light, adding maximum coziness. Firewood is included! This is the perfect starting point for your excursions. Bed linen and towels are provided, and electric car charging is available. The space The cottage was updated with a fresh exterior renovation in 2025. The well-planned 35 square meters of the cottage include wifi, AC/Heat pump, bathroom, hairdryer, washing machine, fully equipped kitchen, Android TV with built-in Chromecast and a wide selection of channels through the Tele2play app – including movies, series, and Viasat Sports, sofa, fireplace with free access to firewood, one bedroom with a bunk bed and wardrobe, and another bedroom with two single beds. Brand new beds and mattresses (2025). The enclosed porch offers a magnificent view of Lake Siljan, Leksands Church, the river outlet, and the mountains. It comes with infrared heating, a dining table, and a grill (charcoal and lighter provided). You’ll also find games like Kubb, croquet, and Mölkky. Newly built outdoor terrace facing the view (2025) with lounge furniture. On the entrance side, there is a patio with outdoor furniture, perfect for enjoying the afternoon and evening sun. Bed linen and towels are included. A travel crib, including bedding, is available; just let us know if you need it, and we'll set it up in the cottage. Check-in is from 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 12:00 PM. Guests are responsible for cleaning before check-out, and all cleaning equipment is provided in the cottage. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary appliances, including a coffee maker, kettle, toaster, waffle iron, electric mixer, sandwich grill, and hand blender with accessories. Guest access Glazed terrace, large garden for sunbathing, summer games and barbecue evenings. Barbecue with lighter and charcoal. Drying rack outside and inside the cottage. There are two bicycles that you can use. Swings, trampoline and toys from the playhouse are welcome to be used (under parental supervision). Free access to firewood for the wood burner. Access to charge your electric car in our wall box, let us know when you want to charge and we will arrange it. Other things to note A very pleasant and cozy village within walking distance to a beautiful beach (500 meters), surrounded by lovely nature, a waterside walking path, and hiking trails. There are great barbecue spots by the beach and at Skvaltkvarn—feel free to bring firewood from the cottage. Close to Granberget ski slope, excellent cross-country trails, and a hockey rink in the village (500 meters). You can also enjoy skiing and ice skating on the lake when it's frozen.
