The Hennesee dam is only 2 km away and offers numerous activities such as inline skating, swimming, sailing, SUP, diving and fishing. For hiking enthusiasts, there is the Rothaarsteig long-distance hiking trail (156 km) as well as local hiking trails to explore nature. 30 km away is Winterberg, the largest ski resort in the region, with 26 lifts and 34 slopes spread over seven mountains. Other nearby ski resorts such as Hunau, Wilde Wiese, Rimberg and the Hohe Lied in Bödefeld can be reached by car in 10-15 minutes.
