With rugged landscapes and panoramic views, it is the ideal place for hill-walking and those who enjoy the great outdoors. Also situated nearby, is Mount Brandon, one of the highest mountains in Ireland. Five minutes from the house is Long's horse riding and trekking centre, with guided tours of the locality which caters from beginners to the more experienced riders. Within a short drive of Slea Head the most South Westerly point in Ireland next stop being 'America'. It is also where Ryan's Daughter and Far and Away was filmed.
