In the thermal spa and volcanic region of Styria, the springs of the 5 thermal spa resorts of Bad Radkersburg, Bad Gleichenberg, Bad Loipersdorf, Bad Blumau and Bad Waltersdorf bubble up; each thermal spa is a specialist in a different area of well-being. Gersdorf an der Feistritz and the surrounding area also offers a large selection of hiking and cycling trails. Well-known excursion destinations are the Feistritzklamm, the Riegersburg, the Herberstein Zoo and the Keltendorf (first prehistoric open-air museum in Styria). In winter, the small ski area Teichalm offers lifts (approx. 30 km by car) over 6 kilometers of slopes, and in summer the Stubenbergsee, the warmest swimming lake in Austria, and the outdoor pool in Gersdorf offer lots of swimming fun!
