The Tiny House at Stardust Meadows

Welcome to your tiny house getaway! Located on a six-acre farm, you'll enjoy a peaceful retreat in the Shenandoah Valley. Close to EMU, JMU and downtown Harrisonburg. Relax on the porch swing, head out to the trails, try out our local breweries and eateries... this is the perfect place for individuals and couples looking to relax, refresh and renew their spirits. This is an eco-friendly, solar-powered house built with green practices. The space Tiny but comfortable! You will find: - Full/double bed in the bed alcove. - Kitchen includes a mini fridge, induction burner, microwave and coffee maker; as well as all the basics for eating and cooking. - Bathroom offers a shower (no bathtub). - There is a wood stove which provides that comfy cozy feeling. - NEW in 2025: we installed a mini split that provides heat for cool days and air conditioning for hot days. - A spacious porch with a relaxing porch swing to take in the scenery. - A wide variety of interesting books to read, plus lots of board games! - There is wi-fi but no television. If you are interested in finding out more about our farm - tending animals, gardening, planting etc - let us know, we'd love to show you around! All the bedding and bath towels are organic cotton, and we use non-toxic cleaning products. All are welcome here, this is a safe space! Guest access You have access to the outdoor space surrounding the house, including a small yard. Other things to note Heating and cooling: in November 2025 we installed a mini split unit that provides both heating and A/C. The house is also built with passive solar design which helps to moderate the temperature as well. Animals: we have a small dog who is friendly but has a tendency to bark when folks are approaching. We also have an outdoor farm cat who likes to hang out by the tiny house porch. You may encounter them during your stay; the cat in particular is very friendly and will want to say hello! There are also sheep, guineas and chickens on the farm so be aware you may hear some farm noises!
