The Lookout is located on a small quiet lake in Huntsville. Downtown Huntsville is 15 minutes away. This 3 bedroom (sleeps - 1 queen and 2 double beds) furnished cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with large eating area. The cottage is mostly one level making it very child friendly. The laundry is located in the basement - which is gated with a safety gate for little ones. The property has a shared playground with the neighbour (same owner), private driveway, private deck, private dock, beach, bbq and camp fire pit. The cottage is close to the water making the lake very accessible. The beach is sandy with a gradual walk out. The dock is great for picnics and lounging. We provide a paddle boat, child kayak and canoe. We ask that you bring your own life jackets. We do our best to keep a cleared area on the lake for skating (weather permitting). We are a short distance from Hidden Valley Ski Hill, skating trail at Arrowhead, hiking at Algonquin Park, Dog Sledding etc. Our Summer months book up very fast, so please connect with us soon. We require a 7 night Sunday to Sunday booking during the Summer. Our family cottage / property is a non smoking space and pets are considered on a case by case basis. We have had some unpredictable weather over the years and have experienced power outages that can be lengthy. We have a generator, back up water supply and a few flashlights but we suggest that guests prepare for power outages just in case. Features & Amenities: Low traffic canoe / kayak lake, large private dock, shallow water entrance, canoe, paddle boat, bbq, fire pit, washer / dryer, dishwasher, microwave, cleaning drinking water from well, satellite tv, wifi. *Approval for pups is required. We charge $100 per booking per dog. We require a copy of your pups vaccination certification. *$500 cleaning / damage deposit is required to secure the booking. Other things to note We are fully licensed under the Short Term Rental Accommodations Program through the town of Huntsville. We provide Linens! Remember to bring your life jacket and bug spray.
