Welcome to Casa Playa, a truly extraordinary beachfront home nestled in the beautiful Las Conchas area. Many outstanding amenities make this an unusually desirable vacation retreat. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a charming Mexican-style courtyard featuring palm trees, an outdoor fireplace, and a serene fountain. The expansive great room offers breathtaking ocean views and features vaulted ceilings, a cozy wood-burning fireplace, and comfortable fireside seating. The space also includes a large-screen TV with satellite, a 10-disc CD player, a tape deck, a stereo sound system, and a computer with internet access (plus wireless internet for those who prefer to bring their own laptops). The dining area seats up to ten guests, ideal for family meals or entertaining. The gourmet kitchen, with ocean views, is fully equipped with a gas stove, side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, convection oven, prep sink, and small appliances you might need, including a blender, coffee maker, toaster oven, and two microwaves. In addition, there is a breakfast alcove complete with bay window. The master bedroom offers spectacular ocean views and features a king-size bed, a wood-burning fireplace, a stunning boveda ceiling, and a private bath with a jacuzzi and double sinks. The second oceanfront bedroom has a queen bed, a wood-burning fireplace, and a full bath with a jacuzzi and double sinks. The third bedroom offers a queen bed, a wood-burning fireplace, and a private bath with double sinks and a jacuzzi. The fourth bedroom has a full bed, a wood-burning fireplace, and a private bath. Additionally, there’s a beautifully designed full casita located on the ground floor, which is considered the fifth bedroom, offering even more privacy and comfort. Other amenities include an advanced water purification system, a laundry room, a powder room, ceiling fans throughout, central heat/AC, and a built-in outdoor charcoal barbecue. There’s also an outdoor shower, a large front patio, and a sundeck with a firepit for relaxing while enjoying the stunning views. Owner requests No Smoking Inside. Sheets, towels, drinking water, and firewood are provided, though guests should bring their own firewood starters. Minimum Stay Requirements: 2-night minimum during weekdays; 3-night minimum during weekends in March, April, May, June, October, November, and all holidays. For over 20 years we have enjoyed the peace and beauty of this place, the spellbinding sunsets and the charm of the city. As frequent visitors to Puerto Penasco, it became impossible for us to ignore the plight of many of the street dogs suffering from illness, starvation and sometimes outright cruelty. On several occasions we took abandoned, sick and starving dogs back to the United States to be rehabilitated and to find loving "forever" homes. A few years ago, we encountered Barb Mumbach, who operates Barb's Dog Rescue about five miles north of town. She is an incredible woman who has struggled to help these poor dogs in any way that she can. She cares for them at her rescue providing food, medicine, and lots of love. She has also arranged for spaying and neutering, as well as many successful adoptions to the United States. . To the world, Barb is a dog rescuer. To each of these needy dogs, she is their world. Owner requests No Smoking Inside and Pets allowed upon approval. Sheets and one set of bath towels are provided. . For 7 nights the owner requests, if it is a weekend, check in must be on Friday or Sunday not Saturday. This home is pet friendly, pet fee is $75 per pet No smoking inside the property. Quiet hours after 10pm-7am. Conserve and use water properly. Return keys at the property manager office. Throw away trash. Turn things off and lock up when leaving the property.
