Like Glamping But Better in an Iconic Airstream

Description

Oasis Airstream by Vacay In Tucson Nestled on 4 peaceful acres, the Oasis Airstream is your chance to stay in an iconic land yacht. We’ve packed a lot of amenities into its small 190 sf interior, helping it to live larger than it sounds. Perfect for someone who adventures during the day and wants a luxe and cozy spot to relax at night. Enjoy a slow morning with a Chemex coffee and soak in the sunrise on the private patio. At night, stargazing by the warmth and ambience of the fire pit is the perfect way to unwind and reconnect. MID-STAY CLEANING: For stays of 14+ days, a mid-stay professional cleaning will be included at no additional charge (because no one wants to clean toilets on their vacay!). We can schedule a time when you'll be out adventuring. GOLF: Let us know in advance if you’d like to use the golf driving range — we’re happy to set up the net for you! WASHER/DRYER: For guests staying 7+ nights, we offer access to our washer & dryer in our personal garage. We provide unscented detergent and fabric softener. ADDITIONAL FEES: Optional upgrades we offer are half day upgrades, yoga and sound bath experience, and during-stay housekeeping services. Inquire for more info if you are interested. Yay! You read the whole listing! As a thank you for your attention to detail, when booking, please mention the phrase "I support local" and there will be a welcome gift upon your arrival! Yes, we know it sounds cheesy but you'll love it! ;) You’ll have the entire Airstream, adjacent patio, and a dedicated parking spot. Access to the main house's back yard is not included in your stay. Since Tucson is very spread out, and Lyft or Uber can get expensive, we suggest renting or bringing your own car. Coffee, tacos, McDonalds are just a 5-minute walk from home. Downtown Tucson is about 20 minutes away. Because there's a unique learning curve when staying in an Airstream, we only offer in-person check in. We greet our guests at arrival to show you around and answer questions. We love hosting because we get to meet awesome people from all over the world. We'll follow your lead with how much interaction you'd like - we love to talk about travel, food, craft beer, running, and all things Tucson, but are also happy giving you space! We live on premises and request quiet hours after 10 pm (this doesn't mean you can't be up after that - just keep the volume down!). Our life is basically a constant HGTV show, as we are working on renovating our house and yard. We are DIY Weekend Warriors, so expect to see us doing projects and gardening around the house. This is a quiet, safe residential neighborhood with desert landscapes and stunning mountain views. You’ll likely see wildlife, especially at dusk. Let us know if you’d like a scenic walk or jog. We have tips! If you like cozy spaces, are ok with shorter showers, travel with smaller luggage, are stable on stairs, and are ok with masking ambient noise with a white noise machine, then you found the perfect place! We want happy guests and this is a super unique stay that isn't for everyone. Keep reading for more details to ensure you've found the right fit for your needs! Available seasonally from mid-September to mid-May. To help get your day started, we provide a starter supply of organic coffee and multiple ways to brew your perfect cup of joe with a Chemex, automatic drip, or Aeropress. And the locally sourced, hand painted coffee mugs are the perfect compliment to your morning routine! We’ve prioritized quality sleep with Tuft & Needle Mint mattress that are fiberglass-free and offer medium firm support. The XL twins are longer than a normal twin, so they can comfortably sleep an adult up to 6'2". Plus, the sumptuous European flax linen sheets, cozy down alternative duvet, assortment of quality pillows, a Snooz white noise machine, and room darkening curtains will help provide a restful sleep so that you feel recharged and refreshed. Enjoy a crisp desert evening fireside. Since we're outside the city, a clear evening means you can see the stars while relaxing in the comfy Polywood Adirondack lounge chairs. The gas fire pit doubles as an outdoor table when the lid is on it. We have a thorough cleaning protocol to ensure all surfaces are sanitized and use unscented laundry cleaning products. We're also eco friendly and provide personal care and cleaning products from Public Goods for our guests to use. Eco features include recycling, energy-efficient LED lighting, and a Brita water filter. Don't forget to pack a reusable water bottle! Staying in an Airstream is a unique experience and is very different than staying in a house. As such, there are things we want to make sure you know so that we can meet (or exceed!) your expectations. Here's a random list in no particular order of quirky things about staying in the Airstream: To keep things clean and protect the marine flooring, no wearing shoes inside (pack slippers!). The water heater is small so while your shower will be hot, it can't be super long. The kitchen is small but very well stocked. The WiFi signal is good but not good enough for a digital nomad - you're inside a metal tube so it weakens the signal. Pack light with a smaller suitcase as there's not a place to store a bigger suitcase (if you stay more than 7 nights we'll give you access to the garage washer/dryer). You can hear some road noise when on the patio and inside the Airstream but its quiet a night; we've planted new bushes that will help abate noise as they grow. And there's a white noise machine so most folks will sleep very well! The Airstream is not well insulated but the HVAC works really well; it's possible you'll need A/C on during the day and heat at night. You can open windows but have to be very careful as they are frameless and are VERY expensive to replace if broken. If you run multiple appliances at the same time, you may pop a breaker. We are on 4 acres and have a wash behind our property which means there's a lot of wildlife in the driveway, so if you're on the patio at night you could see anything from a coyote, javelina, raccoon, to a deer. The Airstream is stationary and cannot be towed. Located on the same grounds as the Oasis Casita, guests have their own private space. If you're traveling with another couple, consider booking both spaces for both proximity and privacy! Oasis Airstream is a Vacay In Tucson property, which offers a boutique collection of upscale homes in NW Tucson including Oro Valley and Catalina Foothills. Need different dates or something bigger?
