Little Tower for Two on Tartaruga
Little Tower for Two on Tartaruga
Description
Tartaruga is a one acre islet situated in the dammed Chança River that forms in Southern Alentejo the border to Spain. The landscape is dominated by evergreen oak trees. Cistus and lavender covering the hills, enchanting with their fragrance. The space The Little Tower is a cabin/caravan hybrid with a tiny living room below and an upper half storey where the bed is overlooking the lake. Surrounded by a veritable jungle of flowering climbers, in summer the place feels like an oasis. All around a huge bathroom in which angling is permitted :) To make a stay in winter more pleasurable a gas stove provides warmth. In summer it's the task of the hammocks to offer a taste of Tartarugan lifestyle and luxury. Guest access Guests and hosts share a compost toilet and a big lake. Other things to note Depending on the water level Tartaruga is an island or a peninsula. In the first case the shore is in a distance from about a kilometer. "Ferry service" and boat rentals needs to be talked about. In the second case Tartaruga can be reached by foot. Usually we can more or less guess at what time of the year the one or the other state is more likely. Registration Details Exempt
