Sleeping layout includes: ‣ Downstairs king suite with ensuite bath ‣ Upstairs king suite with full ensuite bath, sitting area, and private ocean-view deck ‣ Twin sleeping nook upstairs for an extra guest or child ‣ Two additional queen bedrooms downstairs A standout feature of the home is the downstairs/back portion, which can function as a private & separate apartment with its own private entrance, deck, king bedroom, ensuite bath, and second full kitchen—perfect for multi-generational groups or guests who appreciate extra privacy. The main living space is open, comfortable, and designed for gathering, with another fully stocked kitchen, island, fireplace, and beautiful natural light throughout. Ocean views from multiple areas add to the relaxed coastal feel. Whether you’re visiting Kodiak for work, adventure, or time with family and friends, The Spruce Cape Collective offers the space, comfort, and flexibility to settle in and enjoy your stay. Families, Foodies, Trail Seekers, Historians, Fishermen, Hunters, Weekenders, Executives will all find this location perfectly suited for a comfortable stay. You will have access to the entire house except the garage. We have water front properties and paddle board rentals to enjoy coastal exploration and beautiful sunrises! We will occasionally be on site during your stay but will be available 24/7 by phone and we live close by. I like to give my guests space and privacy, but rest assured, if you have any questions or needs they will be met during your stay. 🌲 Nestled on scenic Kodiak Island, Spruce Cape is a tranquil coastal neighborhood. Spruce Cape boasts stunning ocean views that will leave you in awe. You'll witness the sun rising over the majestic Pacific, casting a warm, golden glow on the pristine waters. Our neighborhood is a 2.5 mile direct drive down Spruce Cape to get downtown where you can discover the warm and welcoming Kodiak community spirit and explore our local culture and cuisine. 🚘 There's plenty of parking at the house. We always recommend our guests rent a car to be fully flexible and independent. TURO is a good rental option for cars. In the winter the driveway can get icy as well as roads. We recommend a 4-wheel drive car during the winter season. 🚨 TRAVEL INSURANCE Just a heads-up—Kodiak’s wild beauty comes with unpredictable weather! Flights and ferries are sometimes delayed or canceled due to fog, wind, or rough seas. ✍🏼 RENTAL AGREEMENT ✍🏼 Before check-in, we’ll send over a quick rental agreement to complete. It’s not scary, promise — just the usual stay details, house rules, and property info all in one place. HOT TUB RULES: out of service for winter THIS IS A 5-PERSON HOT TUB DO NOT OVERLOAD NO UNATTENDED USE: For your safety, the hot tub is to be used by registered guests only. Never leave the hot tub unattended while it's in use. CHILDREN'S SUPERVISION: If children are using the hot tub, they must be always supervised by a responsible adult. ALCOHOL AND DRUGS: The consumption of alcohol or drugs while using the hot tub is strictly prohibited. These substances can impair judgment and lead to accidents. SHOWER BEFORE USE: To maintain water quality, please shower before using the hot tub to remove oils, lotions, and other contaminants. RESPECT QUIET HOURS: Be considerate of our neighbors and observe quiet hours, especially when using the hot tub during the evening. COVER REPLACEMENT & CHEMICALS: After use, add one scoop of chlorine or chlorine tab & run through jets for a few minutes. Before replacing cover make sure the lights and all jets and waterfall are turned off then securely replace the hot tub cover and ensure its properly sealed to maintain water cleanliness and heat retention. Check the seal around all edges after the lid is applied. NO GLASSWARE: For safety reasons, do not bring glassware or other breakable items into the hot tub area. Plastic cups and water bottles are provided for your convenience. PETS, OILS & BUBBLES: Pets, Oils & Bubbles are not allowed in the hot tub and will result in a $500 cleaning fee. SNOW AND ICE CAUTION: This is an outdoor hot tub, and during certain seasons, such as winter, there may be snow and ice on the deck. Please exercise caution when using the hot tub under these conditions to ensure your safety. EMERGENCY PROCEDURES: In case of any emergency or discomfort while using the hot tub, exit immediately and seek assistance if needed. Always follow safety procedures and guidelines. There is an emergency electric cut-off switch on the outside wall of the house. Please familiarize yourself with its whereabouts before hot tub use in case of an emergency. MAINTENANCE: Our dedicated team will perform regular maintenance and water quality checks to ensure your comfort and safety. Please report any issues or concerns promptly. By using the hot tub, you agree to sign the rental agreement and comply with these rules and understand the importance of safety and consideration for other guests. EVENTS: Events are allowed with permission and an extra damage deposit and signed rental agreement. We use vacation management software Hostaway and will process the deposit and agreement via Hostaway. *ADDITIONAL RATES APPLY *Please remove your shoes before entering the house to prevent tracking in mud and rainwater. *Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house. A $500 room recovery fee will be charged to guests who fail to comply. *Please refrain from moving heavy furniture to prevent damages and the cleaner does not have time or muscle to move furniture. Guests will be held liable for any resulting damages. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these rules to ensure a pleasant stay for all guests.
