Large suite including private entrance, bathroom, kitchenette Stay in the master suite of this historic home in the heart of Concord -- you can even see the State Capitol's golden dome from your window! Your private suite is decorated with a Tuscan theme and includes a huge bedroom and full bathroom. It is completely sealed off from the rest of the house by locked doors, and has a private entrance from the outside. Includes fast (1 gig) WiFi, a queen bed, bistro table/chairs, sitting area, TV, AC/heat, microwave, mini-fridge/freezer, closets, and more. There is no private parking included, but the city allows free/unrestricted street parking in the area except during blizzards. The master suite is totally separated from the rest of the house by either walls or doors that are locked from both sides. So basically anywhere you can get, you can access. That includes the 1st floor landing, 2nd floor bedroom, and 2nd floor bathroom. Anywhere that you can get, nobody else has access to either. Less than a mile from the interstate, this is a convenient launching point for adventures nearby, or an easy rest stop for weary travelers. ->Three quarters of a mile from the big Concord Coach/Greyhound bus stop. ->Rideshare apps, as well as traditional taxis, typically have available drivers with short wait times. ->The city has a free local bus system, Concord Area Transit. ->Comfortably walk anywhere in downtown Concord from the house. NH State House:.4 miles, 7 min walk, 2 min drive UNH Law School:.2 miles, 3 min walk, 1 min drive Capitol Center for the Arts:.9 miles, 17 min walk, 4 min drive Grappone Conference Center: 1.1 miles, 21 min walk, 5 min drive Manchester Airport: 24 miles, 27 min drive Pat's Peak Ski Resort: 16 miles, 23 min drive Weirs Beach, Lake Winnipesaukee: 34 miles, 45 min drive Hampton Beach: 54 miles, 51 min drive Franconia Notch, White Mountains: 71 miles, 63 min drive Boston Logan Airport: 71 miles, 65 min drive This is my mom's house, but my wife Amber and I rent out the master suite. Unless you need us, we'll give you your privacy. However if something comes up we live just a few blocks away, so it is easy for us to come handle things. This is conveniently located right in the heart of Concord. There are tons of restaurants within walking distance, including Checkmate pizza just next door. There's even a laundromat two doors down, so doing your laundry is easy. Main Street is just a few blocks east, with its historic buildings, restaurants, and shops. UNH Law school and White Park are just a couple blocks Southwest. Climb the steps from the sidewalk, and use the keypad to let yourself through the front door directly into your private space, totally locked off from the rest of the house. There is a small landing downstairs with your personal coffee station -- including a coffee pot, toaster, coat rack, hallway bench, and more. However, upstairs is where the real action is. You'll see the full bathroom first, at the end of the hallway. This master bathroom features an antique claw-foot tub, cast right here in Concord! The spacious master bedroom comes in at ~260 square feet, so you'll have plenty of room for activities. Lay back in the comfortable queen bed and watch your 32" HD smart fire TV. Sit at the bistro table if you need to work remotely, and know that our 1,000 mbps wifi delivered over a mesh network will keep you productive. Relax on the upholstered chairs in the sitting area, sipping wine from the coffee table. Store your food in the 2-door mini fridge/freezer, and reheat it in the microwave. Use the window AC or space heater to make sure you get the temperature just right. And if you're staying for a while, don't worry -- you even have a chest of drawers and two closets to settle in. Feel free to log into any accounts or download any apps. Pro-tip: Hulu usually gives a free 1-month trial to new email addresses. Temperature Control Too hot in the summer? Turn your window AC on/up, and ensure any other windows are latched. Too cold in the summer? If your window AC is running, turn it down/off first. If that doesn’t warm the room up enough, open a window to let warm air in. Too hot in the winter? Turn your radiator down by twisting the intake knob clockwise. If that isn’t enough, open a window to let cold air in. Too cold in the winter? Make sure your windows are fully closed and latched and make sure your radiator is fully on by twisting the intake knob counter-clockwise. If that isn’t enough, use the supplemental electric space heater. Trash Don’t feel obligated to take your trash out, but feel free to dump waste in the bins in the driveway. Please put big recyclable things in the bin marked recycling, and the rest of your trash in the other bin. If they are full, you can leave your trash in a bag next to the bin. Checkout The checkout time is 11am. At that point the cleaners typically arrive to turn over things for the next guest. Due to this, it is important that folks leave on-time. We appreciate your cooperation on this. You don’t need to do anything special as you leave, although of course we appreciate it if you leave things generally like you found them.
