Villa Matkasto, built in 1810, is a characterful 19th-century place in the heart of Tammisaari’s historic old town. Originally built as a bakery (bagarstugan) for the Hultman family, it has been carefully restored, offering a comfortable stay close to the church and marketplace. The rooms come with a unique experience of their own. There is also a small balcony and a private terrace available to all our guests to enjoy Italian style coffee (included in the price). The two rooms downstairs are named Kamari & Terassihuone and the one upstairs Takkahuone. The house has one bathroom and a Sauna. In Villa Matkasto there are comfortable beds for five and a spare bed. Bedsheets and towels are included in the price. The facade of the building is protected by the Finnish Heritage Agency (Museovirasto). Guest access Parking is free in the nearby marketplace and streets. It is really easy to walk to most of the nearby places like museums, beaches and restaurants. Other things to note This is a unique historical house.
