This is a rustic cabin that sits high above the Sandy River with views of soaring evergreens and the rushing river below on a private acre of land with 300 feet of river frontage. The interior is decorated with sweet vintage furniture and has a large rock fireplace to relax by after hiking or skiing! (STR #604-18) The space This is a vintage treetop cabin overlooking an acre of evergreen forest and the confluence of the rushing Sandy and Zig Zag Rivers. It has one bedroom and one bathroom, with simple amenities and charming interior. There is wifi, but no cable. There is a TV with DVDs, a record player with albums, and a nearby charming cafe. Please note, the lighting in the rental is on the dimmer side, which may not be suitable for guests who require bright lighting for comfort or safety. If this might be a concern for you, we recommend considering whether this cabin would be a good fit for your needs. Guest access Guests will have access to a cozy cabin with vintage details, a roaring rock fireplace, views of an acre of evergreen forest and the Sandy River below, trails to the confluence of the Sandy and ZigZag Rivers with ZigZag mountain as a backdrop, TV with DVDs, a record player with old LPs, all basic kitchen amenities, one bedroom that sleeps 2, access to miles of hiking trails (we are at the gateway to Mt. Hood National Forest (literally across the street), walking distance to a Historic Cafe with free Wifi, and much much more! Other things to note There is a historical and beautiful rustic cafe called the ZigZag Mountain Cafe 15 minutes walking distance from our cabin which has great breakfasts to eat before hitting the trails and ski slopes! Firewood is not provided. Please be sure to bring some with you or purchase it at our local Thriftway if you are planning on having fires. Please only make a fire if you know how to build one in a fireplace! Do not use magazines or paper towels to start the fire! A 6% lodging tax is already included in the nightly rate.
