Remote holiday home directly by the sea!

Charming house right by the beach, only 10 m from the sea! You have a big own sun deck where you can moor your boat and with that a stunning south-facing view. The house is an Eco-house with solar cells for electricity and a water tank, but with all modern facilities, hotel standard with warm water and with Wi-Fi. Bedroom for 2, kitchen/living room with sofa bed and bathroom. Several large terraces, one of 40 sq. with a roof and a large, walled grill/ fireplace. Absolutely private location! The space The cottage lies in the quiet bay of "Studena", near Selca and Sumartin, on the beautiful island of Brač. Studena is the perfect place for a unique, relaxing and romantic vacation, far from the stress of modern life – the closest thing to a Robinson experience. Here you can rest, swim, sunbathe, fish, hike, play, eat well and enjoy life to the fullest. The story of the cottage is a romantic one. We built it on the foundations of our old family house that was built by my father, as an expression of his love for my mom Marija. We made sure that the new cottage was made with the same kind of love and attention to detail. And now we wish to welcome you in our little piece of paradise. The natural materials we used are all authentic and from the surrounding area, but built with today's standards of insulation, sustainability and quality. The stone cottage is eco-friendly, runs on its own solar energy source, has hot water, drinking water, has its own garden and very much blends into the surrounding area. It's built using the famous Brač white lime stone, wooden doors and windows and furnished with authentic furniture from the start of the 20th century. Although built in wilderness the cottage is equipped with TV, sattelite, internet/wi-fi. Since October 2017 the interior offers cosy warmth all around the year at any weather conditions. You can swith from the solar system to a gas powered circulating system for warm water. A new oven comes with plenty firewood. Access to the house is by boat. Studena is the biggest bay in the southeast of the island and as such is perfectly suited and safe for sail boats. Boat mooring (3 boats cap) is on own property, 10m below the cottage. You can arrive by your own boat, or you can rent ours. For those who like hiking, there are miles of wilderness hiking trails that can be reached from the cottage. With the cottage you get another 5000 m2 of area around it. There are only 2 other cottages in the bay, but with no visual contact. We don't live on the property either. You can expect to remain fully undisturbed. Skinny dipping possible. If you wish, you can fish and grill your own dinner, as fishing gear (hooks and fish traps) is available, as well as the traditional Dalmatian stone grill on your porch. The water is clear and clean and the fish is great to eat. With your own garden on the property and with access to local farmers, you will have seasonal fruit and vegetables. It almost goes without saying that you'll love sitting on your own porch, far from anything and anybody, enjoying a beautiful view, sipping a glass of wine. We are available to you for help, supplies, guided tours of the island and other activities. How to arrive: 1.If you arrive by own transport to Brač: we will be in contact beforehand, we will meet you at the only gas station in Selca/Sumartin (easy to find), we can then pick up any supplies you need, we take you by boat to Studena and show you how everything in the accommodation works, once you're on your own we are available to you at any time for help and supplies. 2.If you arrive at Split airport, no car: You can either rent a car there, use public transportation, or hire us to pick you up at the airport/harbor. The main village will provide access to the supermarket, medical assistance, pharmacy, cafes and restaurants, cash machine (ATM), ferry to mainland, etc. and can be reached by boat in 15 minutes (regular speed boat) or 5 minutes (high speed boat).
