The town of Strafford is a picturesque village with small town charm located close to Dartmouth College, major ski mountains, and the Vermont Law School. We have made a brand new guest suite in our large home with separate entry, full kitchen, and a large deck under the shade of a hemlock tree. Feel the peacefulness of rural Vermont and enjoy the fall colors, the cool summers, or the still and cold winters in a rural setting surrounded by nature in the hills of Vermont. Bright and clean, upstairs bedroom and full bathroom with new tile shower, convenient bath downstairs with full new kitchen and large deck outside of glass doors. Couch downstairs with TV (netflix only, no cable) and small table to eat at. Winter note: Most of the time our roads are plowed and cleared but we do live in a rural area and during and just after a snowfall driving can be difficult. I recommend winter tires to get around the area, all wheel drive is also very helpful. Send us a message if you have any questions. Private entrance around the side of the house means that you can come and go as you please. The apartment is attached to our home with a locking door upstairs and down for added privacy. Use the lawn as you like, take a walk in the woods, there is plenty of parking. We are usually working during the day, but will be glad to make sure you are settled in and finding your way around the area There are hiking trails around town, a great general store just up the road, a nordic ski center across town, and great sightseeing along the country roads. The towns of Woodstock and Stowe and Burlington can be easy day trips. You will need a car to get around Vermont, 4 wheel drive in the winter! There is no cell phone coverage in our little town, we access our cell phones through the wifi in the house, newer iPhones have this feature (wifi calling). We have a very good fiber optic internet connection which should work well for any of your needs. We have an big young dog, Charlie, that roams around the yard and a skittish black cat, Roxie, who sleeps all day.
