Apolline's house
Apolline's house
Description
Apolline’s house is a small, charming residence located in Lassay-les-Châteaux, 2 km (1.2 miles) from Lassay Castle and 15 km (9 miles) from Bagnoles-de-l’Orne, Normandy (15-minute drive). The house is composed of a ground floor (entrance, mezzanine, living room, dining area and kitchen) and a floor (bedroom and bathroom) fully equipped and offering free wifi. The metal staircase is central. The decoration is neat. The equipment is rather high-end. The space The house is a former barn that has been converted and renovated, on 2 levels. The ground floor has a surface area of 45 m2 and the first floor has 31 m2. The entire renovation was carried out from July 2025 to January 2026. So everything is new except for the sink, which comes from a nearby rectory. We used a lot of noble materials like travertine, brick, metal and wood, and little plastic. The flea market spirit is evident. The kitchen is well equipped and allows you to cook as if you were at home, including a range cooker, dishes, pans, and various accessories. The freezer makes for a comfortable stay. A Carrefour City and an Intermarché are nearby. The residence is completely secluded. Heating is electric via infrared with centralized control by thermostat. There is no air conditioning because the house stays cool due to the stone and the thickness of the walls. The various openings allow for good ventilation. A BOSE audio system is available for your use, along with a few CDs. The bathtub is XXL, as are the bed and the TV. A NESPRESSO machine is available with a few pods. Two bathrobes are available. South-facing at the living room level on the ground floor and garden on the BD side upstairs. The property is bordered by an accessible forest. The garden is not completely fenced, especially in the gravel courtyard in front of the accommodation, but we can provide a fence (sheep pen type) to secure runaway dogs in particular, but nothing is guaranteed in this regard. There is no busy road nearby, however. The sunrise is a pure wonder. The rooster will surely be in a good mood to remind you that it's time to enjoy the outdoors, but the sound insulation is excellent. Parking is available in front of the accommodation or nearby on the path that goes up to the right under the cherry trees. A lockbox is easy to access. Bed linen, bathroom towels, tea towels and apron are provided. 180 X 200 king-size bed. The accommodation is adjoining the house of the owners, who are not always present (secondary residence), and tranquility is assured because they live outside on the other side of the house. Access to the 5000 m2 garden is possible and even encouraged. Internet connection via SFR fiber + Wi-Fi repeater in the house. Composter hidden under a tree. Occupants are asked to manage 100% of their waste other than that intended for composting, as there is no collection by the municipality. Guest access A large part of the 5,000 m2 garden is accessible. A mowing robot is in place and does not generate any noise. The house is located at the end of a small road that then provides access to the forest and pastures.
