Kona Tura – Cosy New One Bed Apartment

Welcome to Kona Tura, a newly constructed, modern apartment located in the heart of Kigali. A cozy 1 Bedroom 1 Bathroom apartment perfect for solo travellers or couples. The apartment is located in the safe, central neighbourhood of Kacyiru, and designed to offer comfort and peace of mind to travellers — fit with modern appliances, high-speed internet, a washer and dryer, universal power outlets, and comfy mattresses for a good night’s rest. The space Designed and constructed in 2025, Kona Courtyard is a small apartment building created by four friends and designers to bring together thoughtful design, natural light, and lush greenery for a calm, modern stay in Kigali. Every corner of the property reflects their shared vision of beauty and comfort - ideal for travellers seeking a quiet retreat that still feels connected to the city. LIVING & DINING This second-floor apartment has an open plan living room space with a kitchen island that doubles as a dining space. The living room also has a small desk for remote work. We have a Smart TV set up with a Netflix subscription and a high-speed internet connection (200 Mbps). BEDROOM The bedroom includes a queen-sized bed with premium bedding, bedside lamps, a wardrobe, and a ceiling fan to keep the room cool. From the bedroom, step out onto a private balcony with comfortable seating to enjoy the view. All windows and doors are fitted with mosquito nets for your comfort. BATHROOM The en-suite bathroom features a hot-water shower, handheld bidet, and complimentary hand soap, shower gel, and shampoo. Fresh bath and hand towels are provided for every guest. KITCHEN We have a fully functional kitchen fit with modern appliances including a fridge, 4-burner conduction stove, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, water filter, cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery. We stock the place with great local ground coffee and tea bags, along with a few kitchen staples like cooking oil, sugar, salt, and pepper. UTILITY The apartment includes its own clothes washer and a foldable drying rack, making it easy to do laundry at your convenience. For quicker drying, guests also have access to a shared dryer located at the back of the property on the ground floor. An electric iron, ironing board, and high chair for toddlers can be provided upon request. PARKING The property has space to park two cars in the driveway. Please let us know if you’d like use the parking during your stay. SAFETY Theo, our trusted caretaker stays on the property and looks after it daily. We have CCTV cameras installed around the house for additional security. The neighbourhood is generally very safe given the close proximity of the Kacyiru police station, the president’s office, and multiple government offices and international embassies. Guest access There are four apartments on the property - two duplexes and two one-bedrooms. You’ll have private access to your entire apartment (04 Tura), including the living area, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and balcony. The apartment is on the second floor, accessible via an external staircase. Guests can also use the shared utility area and common walking path in front of the building. Other things to note We provide free cleaning and change of sheets/towels etc. once a week for guests who stay for 5 or more nights. Alternatively, cleaning equipment is provided inside the apartments for guests to use. We do offer the option of booking more than one apartment subject to availability.
