Welcome to Kona Gana, a newly constructed, modern apartment located in the heart of Kigali. A spacious 2 Bed 2 Bath duplex apartment perfect for couples, a group of friends, business travellers or a family with children. The apartment is located in the safe, central neighbourhood of Kacyiru, and designed to offer comfort and peace of mind to travellers — fit with modern appliances, high-speed internet, a washer and dryer, universal power outlets, and comfy mattresses for a good night’s rest. The space Designed and constructed in 2025, Kona Courtyard is a small apartment building created by four friends and designers to bring together thoughtful design, natural light, and lush greenery for a calm, modern stay in Kigali. Every corner of the property reflects their shared vision of beauty and comfort - ideal for travelers seeking a quiet retreat that still feels connected to the city. LIVING & DINING The apartment has an open plan living room space with a dining table that can seat 6 people. The living room also opens up into an outdoor garden where you can sit and enjoy your morning brew. We have a Smart TV set up with a Netflix subscription and a high-speed internet connection (200 Mbps). BEDROOMS The first floor hosts two bedrooms, each featuring a queen-sized bed, high-quality bedding, bedside lamps, a wardrobe, and a ceiling fan to keep the space cool. All windows are fitted with mosquito nets for your comfort. BATHROOMS There are two bathrooms in this apartment — one en-suite and one shared — each fitted with a hot-water shower, handheld bidet, and complimentary hand soap, shower gel, and shampoo. Fresh bath and hand towels are provided for every guest. KITCHEN We have a fully functional kitchen fit with modern appliances including a fridge, 4-burner conduction stove, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, water filter, cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery. We stock the place with great local ground coffee and tea bags, along with a few kitchen staples like cooking oil, sugar, salt, and pepper. UTILITY There is a shared utility area at the back of the house that has a washing machine and dryer that can be used by guests at no additional cost. There is also an electric iron, an ironing table, and high-chair for toddlers that can be requested by guests at any time. PARKING The property has space to park two cars in the driveway. Please let us know if you’d like use the parking during your stay. SAFETY Theo, our trusted caretaker stays on the property and looks after it daily. We have CCTV cameras installed around the house for additional security. The neighbourhood is generally very safe given the close proximity of the Kacyiru police station, the president’s office, and multiple government offices and international embassies. Guest access There are four apartments on the property - two duplexes and two one-bedrooms. You’ll have full private access to your duplex (01 Gana), including the living area, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and your own private garden. Guests can also use the shared utility area at the back and the common walking path in front surrounded by greenery. Other things to note We provide free cleaning and change of sheets/towels etc. once a week for guests who stay for 5 or more nights. Alternatively, cleaning equipment is provided inside the apartments for guests to use. We do offer the option of booking more than one apartment subject to availability.
