Tranquil Garden Retreat

Little Riversfield has its own private access and is situated down a quiet lane off Standlake village green. It is near several excellent bistro pubs. Close by are tranquil walks along the Thames Path, and around fishing and boating lakes. It is a 20-25 minute drive to Oxford, Blenheim Palace and Cotswolds locations like The Farmers Dog and Diddly Squat. The self-contained accommodation was totally refurbished with a Greek vibe in Summer 2025. The space Entrance to the property is down its own paved passage leading to a patioed space with table and chairs outside the entrance door. The door opens into a fully-fitted brand new kitchen with breakfast bar seating. The smaller window above the sink looks onto the vine-covered patio while the large window looks onto a beautiful landscaped garden with aviary and fishpond fed by a waterfall feature. Upstairs are the bedroom and bathroom. Both are well-sized. The bedroom has a king-sized bed, Smart TV, 2 comfortable chairs, a desk and a table. There is also a wardrobe, chest of drawers and luggage stand. The spacious bathroom contains a walk-in shower and separate bath, loo and wash-basin with a heated towel rail. Both rooms overlook the tree-enclosed garden. All windows have adjustable internal shutters or blinds. Coming outside, you turn right and follow the path round to the back of the house to the shady vine-covered Greek patio overlooking our designed garden which guests are welcome to enjoy. Guest access The interior containing the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom are for the exclusive use of guests. The door to the right of the entry door is locked as this room is for private use. Outside, guests are welcome to sit on the side patio or follow the path beyond the entry-door round the back of the house to reach the raised vine-covered patio. On the patio guest seating with tables and chairs and two recliners overlook the garden and lawn. Guests are welcome to walk across the lawn and view the birds in the aviary and fish in the pond. Other things to note We provide plentiful breakfast items such as muesli, yoghurt, bread rolls, butter, homemade marmalade and jam, milk, baked beans, eggs and bacon. Also tea and coffee. We do not cater for specific dietary requirements. We own 2 Birman cats who are very friendly and furry, and may pay you a visit. Please do not bring your own pets.
