Spring Valley Castle Cabin

Cottage nestled in the mountains with stunning views of Mt Sopris. You are in the country, but still close to downtown Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, and Sunlight Ski Resort. Also a great location to travel throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. 2 hot springs pools, the adventure park/caverns, hiking, bike trails, river rafting, kayaking, fishing, vapor caves, mini golf, golf courses, shopping, exploring, mountain climbing, spas and hunting. The space The cottage is next door to our home but still private. The spiral staircase in the cabin leads up to the 2nd floor which has 2 bedrooms: Master BR and smaller BR in the loft area. Master has door that locks and is accessed through the small upstairs BR which is open and overlooks downstairs. 1 pull out couch in living room. 1 bathroom with a shower on the first floor. Kitchen includes a microwave, coffee maker (coffee & tea included), pots and pans, cooking utensils, plates, cups, mugs, etc... There is a washer and dryer and we provide coffee, tea, creamers, shampoo, body wash soap, hand soap, and body lotion too. We have 2 dogs and 3 goats. Please let us know if you'd like to bring your dog, as there is an additional dog fee and we'd like more information about your dog before hand. To pay for the dog fee please add each dog as as one guest (total $15.00 per night per dog) when making your reservation, as Airbnb doesn't give an option to add a dog and they are guests and family too. We love our pets and they are part of our family but they do require a lot of extra care to clean up after (especially dog hair) and some of our guests have dog allergies. In addition, we don't allow dogs upstairs in the cottage. Guest access The spiral staircase is steep and not for some people. It is the only access to the top floor. The laundry area is in the utility room which can be accessed from the 1st floor of the cottage. You are welcome to roam our property and check out the view of Mt. Sopris and the goats. You may use our grill and lower level patio (below main house side deck) until 9 pm unless you request a later time. Other things to note The spiral staircase is not for some people as it is steep and it is the only access to the top floor. We provide 2 A/C units in the upstairs loft bedrooms only. We also provide 2 fans. At&t and T-mobile cell service works at the cottage but Verizon and Sprint do not. The cottage has a home phone that is shared with the main house and guests are welcome to use it for domestic calls only.
