Walking enthusiasts will enjoy the many walks around the town of Shitley Bridge, Derwent Resoviour which sits on the edge of the Pennines. Whilst cyclists can take the Coast-to-Coast cycle route, taking in many lovely views. While Durham is 20 minutes away and Newcastle city centre just a 30-minute drive, this is the perfect location for those looking to experience the northern culture.
