Riverfront, hot tub, fire pit, and deck with a view. Welcome to Riverside Retreat—a peaceful country escape with views of the river from the deck, hot tub, and fire pit. Several acres with no close neighbors (you can see the house next door, but you’ll feel tucked away), this private 4-bedroom, 2-bath home sleeps up to 8 guests and is dog-friendly with a fenced area for dogs to run. We are on M-52, and you may hear occasional road noise when outside, but we are a little way off the road. The space • Hot tub with river views • Fire pit • Riverfront — beautiful river views from the deck, hot tub, and by the fire pit (note: there isn’t an easy or safe way to get down to the water) • Quiet country setting & privacy — neighbors are visible but not close • Frequent eagle sightings — there’s an eagle nest across the river (we can’t guarantee eagle sightings, but in winter & spring, the eagles tend to stay close to the nest). The nest is visible from the deck when there are no leaves on the trees. • Outdoor Grill • Smart TVs — one in the living room, one in one of the bedrooms; streaming-ready • Deck with a river view Enough room for 8 guests • Bedroom 1: King bed • Bedroom 2: King bed • Bedroom 3: Queen bed • Bedroom 4: Queen bed. This bedroom has a tall bed frame that may be hard for anyone with mobility issues to use. Bathrooms • 2 full bathrooms total • One bathroom is cozy/smaller with a shower; the other full-size bathroom has a shower/tub combo. Kitchen & Living • Fully stocked kitchen for easy meals • Dining space with enough chairs for 8 people Outdoors • Deck overlooking the river, perfect for watching the sunrise and drinking coffee. • Hot tub • Fire pit area with seating • Fenced dog run area for pups Pet & Property Notes • Dog-friendly (well-behaved dogs welcome) with a fenced. Dogs need to be current on vaccines and on flea/tick prevention. • There’s a friendly barn cat who roams the property and may say hello outside. • We keep chickens in the barn. You are more than welcome to walk to the back of the barn and say hi to them. They have a fenced-in outdoor area that they have access to. Good to Know (Please Read) • We love hosting families, but there’s a very steep hill down toward the riverbank that could be dangerous for kids. If you bring children, please be aware of the hill and that they will need to be supervised closely. • Wildlife area: you may see deer, birds, turkeys, opossums, raccoons, and eagles. • Private country setting; neighbors are visible at a distance, but the space is private • Ideal for couples, friends, or families Guest access The house and yard are yours to enjoy! The basement is used for storage and is not accessible. Guests will be able to access the attached garage. But not the detached garage and barn. The barn and the woods by the house are all part of the property. Feel free to walk around the property and enjoy the view! We don't have walking trails yet, but we hope to add some in the future. Just be aware of the steep hill down to the river. This is a private Airbnb, and you will have the property to yourself! No shared spaces (unless the barn cat comes to say hi).
