With that character can come the occasional quirks of an older home, including creaks, uneven floors, or other signs of normal settling over time. We maintain the home carefully and address maintenance concerns promptly. If you prefer the uniformity of a brand-new property, please keep in mind that an older home may have a little more character, and a few more quirks, than a newer build. Midwest Insects & Outdoor Critters Kansas City is home to the Midwest's usual collection of insects and outdoor critters. Depending on the season and weather, you may occasionally encounter mosquitoes, flies, ants, spiders, bees, wasps, or other small outdoor insects. We take preventative measures and regularly treat our properties. However, because the home is part of a natural environment, an occasional insect may make its way indoors despite our best efforts. Kansas City Weather Kansas City experiences all four seasons, and Midwest weather can occasionally be unpredictable. Severe storms, high winds, snow, ice, and extreme heat can sometimes affect power, outdoor conditions, road conditions, or HVAC performance. We monitor weather conditions and do our best to keep the property comfortable and accessible. During periods of extreme heat, an air-conditioning system may need to run continuously and may not maintain the same indoor temperature it would during normal conditions. Certain weather conditions are outside anyone's control, so we encourage guests to plan accordingly during periods of severe weather.
