Welcome to our Dog friendly 2-bedroom, plus loft, 1.5-bathroom cabin nestled in the heart of Carrabassett Valley, Maine! This cozy retreat comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests with 3 beds. Just minutes to Sugarloaf Mountain & close to scenic trails for hiking, biking, or snowshoeing. Fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, and comfortable living spaces. Whether you’re hitting the slopes, enjoying the outdoors, or simply unwinding in a peaceful setting, our cabin is the perfect home base for your getaway. The space This home is one of the original A Frame camps built in the 1960's. Several years ago we raised the house and completely updated it from top to bottom! The ground floor features a a full size (queen) bedroom/sitting area with a half bath. This area has a separate heater. The main floor has a small living room, a well equipped kitchen area with farmers table for expanded seating, a full bath and well stocked pantry. There is a mini-split for heating or cooling on this floor, along with a wood stove (wood is supplied). Above the living area is a loft with a full sized bed. There is a large deck off of the front door with seating. There is also a decent yard area with raised bed gardens full of flowers and vegetables for your enjoyment. The grill is located on the back deck. Guest access You will have access to the entire home, including the garage where wood is stored. About three days before check-in you will be supplied with a lock code that is the same as the last 4 digits of your phone number. Other things to note We have a reliable snow plower for the road. You cars may need to be moved back and forth so he can clear the whole road during a storm. In the even of a storm, please park cars on one side or the other of the driveway as far front as possible. We do not have reliable snow shovelers - they are very hard to find up here. However, we do leave a shovel hanging at the bottom of the stairs in case you arrive during or shortly after a storm.
