The Herdsman's House is steeped in history and character. Once housing a family with nine children, it fell into disrepair before the Pritchard family purchased the farm, breathed life back into the crumbling structure, and turned it into a home once more. A convenient seven miles from Presque Isle, the Herdsman's House is the ideal country setting for breathtaking sunrises, sunsets, and stargazing. We have over 1.5 miles of private, maintained walking paths full of wildlife if you want to roam. Or look out the front windows and enjoy the antics of the farm's horses. Its cozy atmosphere makes this home the ideal artist's retreat, but can accommodate up to six people with ample parking for multiple vehicles and snowmobile trailers. While out of the way, the location is an ideal launching point for many different activities in The County, from the Potato Blossom Festival in July to snowmobiling in the winter.
